Eduardo and Gloria are wonderful hosts and have a really great setup on their island - from my view on the boat riding by it looked clearly to be the best of all of the floating islands. The rooms are very nice with comfy beds and incredible views. We loved the swinging bed on our patio outside for watching the beautiful sunsets.

It's the most expensive stay we've had in Peru, which makes sense given you're paying for the experience. I just wish the experience was a little more like a homestay and interactive with the family than hotel atay, but this is just personal preference and I would definitely recommend friends and family to visit Uros and stay here.

The entire experience was unforgettable, the hosts took good care of us, treated us like a family, the room and bathroom were fixed in a modern way, All you might dream of.

The beauty of Lake Titicaca and the uniqueness of Uros cannot really be explained or described. It is an experience that must be lived to be understood. Even so, our wonderful hosts, Eduardo and Gloria, will be our abiding memory of our visit. This lodge is just amazing!! The place is so quiet and the surrounding nature just breathtaking. Eduardo and his wife are so kind and they made every single moment of our stay unforgettable. They organized everything so we just have to enjoy and relax. We highly recommend this place.

I would like to recommend this hotel, especially for those who are hesitating to live on the Uros islands.This is truly once in a lifetime experience. Eduardo and Gloria are amazing hosts, everything is made with a lot of attention to the details. Our stay was very comfortable, we had everything we needed ( heating, hot water, blankets, etc) The home made breakfast and dinner were delicious. Eduardo has even made for us a boat tour to admire the sunset, that was really spectacular, the lake Titikaka and the sunset. The people that have chosen a standard hotel in Puno instead of a lodge on the Uros islands have lost a lot of memorable moments !

beautiful accommodations in a very private area of Lake Titicaca. our hosts Eduardo and Gloria are wonderful, they shared their Uros culture and way of life, we learned so much about Uros history during our stay. this is a fabulous vacation destination!

the beauty and tranquility

Where do we start. Eduardo and Gloria's island is located away from the busy part of Uros offering a relaxing stay with spectacular views. Eduardo went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, Gloria made sure we have the freshest and most delicious meals. The room has an amazing view of the sunset and the most comfortable and warm beds. Eduardo took us on his Reed boat to catch the sunset from the lake. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Lake Titicaca is so beautiful especially enjoy the sunset and star sky. The family we lived with is so warm and offered us their best care when we got sick for the high altitudes . Impressive experience.

Very relaxing and the hosts were awesome!

This place is absolutely insane. The views are spectacular on the swinging bed. We probably spent 6 hours just relaxing there. The bed inside is well equipped with pillows and blankets and the bed itself is sooooo comfortable. On top of that, the hosts are absolutely wonderful and cook amazing, wholesome, homecooked food. The trout and potatoes we had for dinner was phenomenal. When you arrive, Sr. Eduardo takes you on a tour of the Uros Islands and you meet some wonderful people and really get to experience some of the culture there.

This place is like a dream. It is exactly how it looks in the photos. The hosts are amazing and anticipate the needs of the guests. They love to host and it shows. They also cook an amazing, I definitely recommend getting the dinner!

Honestly, there isn't anything that could have made the experience better.

Eduardo was amazing! This was my favorite part of the trip, I was actually a little sad when I left! Eduardo made sure I was taken care of when I had really bad altitude sickness. The food was also awesome and the dog was so sweet.

Nothing to complain about.

This was our favorite of everywhere we went in Peru, and such a great experience. Eduardo and Gloria are wonderful hosts - thoughtful, hospitable, friendly, funny, and highly capable of handling all kinds of travel needs both standard (pick-ups, tours) and non-standard (my boyfriend needed his hiking boots repaired and Eduardo took them to a cobbler in Puno for him). We especially loved the boat ride with Eduardo, where he showed us how to cut totora reeds and we saw the very hard work required to make a living on the floating islands. It is amazing to get to see up close what life is like, but there is also plenty of privacy - a really nice balance of interaction and seclusion that makes for a very relaxing and informative stay. Eduardo and Gloria's island itself is lovely, and far from the heavily touristed floating islands visited by day-trippers from Puno. It is incredibly tranquil and silent with gorgeous views of the lake from the big windows, and with plenty of great spots to relax with a book and a cup of coffee while you watch the ducks and grebes. The room was huge, spotless, and comfortably furnished with plenty of space to spread out, as well as beautifully decorated with local textiles. A truly unique place to stay, and we felt very lucky to be here.

We loved this place, but there are a couple of things to be aware of (not really problems!): hot water is available, but only sometimes, so you need to plan showers with some care. The toilet is a dry one, which I hadn't expected but should have, as you are on an island made of reeds. The bed is kept warm at night with water bottles, which is effective, but the room does get very cold (I like a cold bedroom so this wasn't a problem for me). Expect an experience that is more like comfortable glamping than a hotel, and you'll be very happy. One other thing (not at all the fault of the lodge!): I came here straight from sea level and, on my first day, struggled pretty badly with the altitude. Eduardo kindly offered me soroche pills and there's plenty of coca tea available, but don't plan any strenuous activity on your first day here unless you're well acclimated.
