Beautiful country views close to Ithaca in the Finger Lakes region
Unser Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von Ithaca, NY, 13 km von der Cornell University entfernt. Es ist ein modernes Haus aus dem Jahr 2011. Es ist sauber, hell und fröhlich, mit natürlichem Licht gefüllt. Es gibt drei Schlafzimmer, einen Dachboden, zwei Badezimmer, ein offenes Wohnzimmer, ein Esszimmer und eine Küche. Es bietet Platz für sieben Personen, wir könnten jedoch ein Kinderbett aufstellen oder eine zusätzliche Matratze bereitstellen, um mehr Platz zu schaffen. Klimaanlage läuft im ganzen Haus und macht es das ganze Jahr über komfortabel. Es gibt einen Desktop-Computer im Loft sowie Dish Network. Dish Network TV ist auch im Hauptschlafzimmer. Unser Haus ist auf einem gemütlichen Grundstück. Es ist im Hintergrund mit einem fließenden Bach bewaldet. Mit Blick auf die Vorderseite des Hauses gibt es eine schöne Aussicht auf offene Felder. Wir haben auch wundervolle Nachbarn. Es gibt ein schönes Restaurant, Rogues Harbour, sowie eine Pizzeria, ein Sub-Shop, eine Post, einen Friseursalon und einen Souvenirladen im Umkreis von 1,6 km.
Der Flughafen von Ithaca ist 12 Minuten entfernt. Die Cornell University ist 15 Minuten und die Commons Area 17 Minuten entfernt. Andere interessante Orte sind: King Ferry Winery Making (17 min.), Seward House (35 min.), Harriet Tubman House (33 min.), Frauenwahlrecht National Historic Park (55 min.) Und viele Wasserfälle und Schluchten ( Der Treman State Park, der Buttermilk Falls State Park und der Taughannock Falls State Park sind weniger als 25 Minuten entfernt.

It had been a hectic few months for us and this particular house was a perfect get away to unwind, chill and relax. The owners of the house (Lori & Geman) were super responsive, helpful so we really felt at home away from home. The kitchen and pantry were all loaded with utensils, spices, oil, sauces so we didn't had to shop for them. Beautiful stream behind the house is very relaxing. The house is very spacious with nice patios which were very well lit. Thank you again to Lori and German for such a memorable vacation in your beautiful nest. Best regards,

We enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome in this home. The host was very welcoming and accommodating.

House was clean, however in need of repairs. Well water from sinks had very bad smell and had corroded the faucets. Alot of small flying insects in house from houseplants. Also there were too many personal items of homeowner in house (many family photos, clothing,etc) which were a bit unsettling and distracting. We were awakened at 2:00 am by a chirping smoke detector, and there were no batteries in the house, so we had to go out and get a battery to stop the noise.

Beautiful, comfortable, impeccably clean place in a charming upstate New York Fingerlakes setting. If you want a getaway this is your place.

Home was very warm with charm and views. Modern kitchen with open concept which provided a great area for gatherings.
All in all, the home had good vibes. A nice big deck out the back of the home and also a nice size deck in the front . Felt a bit uneasy wandering to the fire pit in the back finding out the owners of the property frequent to reside in the lower level of the home . We did meet the owners son and he was very nice and reassured us that we could make ourselves at home .

This is a beautiful property! There was plenty of room, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was completely outfitted with everything I could possibly need. The kitchen also had a water cooler which was so very impressive for a house with well water. The owners where is Elizabeth I needed some thing. Everything worked out beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back!

Finger Lakes Getway
The property was very nice and set up as advertised. We especially enjoyed the stream and fire ring behind the house. The location was a bit far from the majority of wineries and lake locations but we knew this when reservation was arranged. Exploring close by Cornell University gardens was an unexpected treat. Lori was very responsive to text message for a minor need.

Girls weekend
The house was as described in the listing. It was well stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils, bath and lake towels. It was clean. The location was perfect. We spent some time in Ithaca and visiting surroundings waterfalls. The host was great.
The only reason I only gave 4 stars on accuracy of listing is because the was an apartment on the bottom floor or basement and we weren’t expecting it. Otherwise it was perfect !

The house was well cleaned, located in a great spot, and provided us with kitchen essentials. There was a nice fire pit and foosball table on the porch with was great fun for the kids.

Went to Finger Lakes to celebrate moms 70th birthday. There were 5 of us and a small dog. Everything was wonderful. Lori was very friendly and accommodating.

We had way and very cordial communication with the hosts, Lori and German. The house is nestled along a river bank where, weather permitting, you can use the fire-pit or propane grill. There is a nearby small market and gas station for essentials, but it is more fun to go a couple of miles down Triphammer Rd. to the Ithaca Coffee Company, Wine Store, Tops Grocery store, Kinney Drug Store, or Target--if needed. It is a rural setting. close to the Cornell Ornithology Trails, three easy to access waterfalls, and abut 45 minutes from Watkins Glen if you are wanting to go wine-tasting. We would recommend upper end restaurants, "The Heights" in nearby Cayuga Heights, "Antlers" in Lansing, and "Coltivare" in Ithaca. We did not go this time because of the Covid outbreak, but have been to these earlier in the year. The house is well stocked and includes a water cooler, which we appreciated.

Excellent vacation house!
Our experience could not have been better. The house is really nice, rooms are well-appointed and maintained, beds very comfortable, and the front and back porch are great places to spend time. The hosts are very nice and responsive to questions. The location is perfect, just outside of Ithaca. An excellent pub and excellent pizza place are both two minutes away. We plan to be back any time we come back to the Finger Lakes.

Great family gathering
The property was fantastic for our family gathering over the 4th of July. We loved the spacious home. The back deck was so peaceful. The fire pit by the creek was incredible. The neighborhood was great for walking, running, biking. Easy to get to the Lansing market. Thank you for being a wonderful host.

The house and location were perfect for viewing (online) and celebrating our granddaughters graduation from Ithaca College. So appreciated the special touches provided by the property manager: fresh flowers, a delicious apple strudel, coffee, and a congratulatory sign across the upper staircase. Nice bedding and towels. Well equipped kitchen. Very clean. We all loved the back balcony that overlooked a forest, with a creek running below. The property managers were very helpful and accommodating. So glad we chose this house for our special time.

The house was clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay. There's a nice fire pit behind the house (down by a beautiful creek) that we thoroughly enjoyed on Saturday night. The owners are great to deal with and very responsive as well. We will definitely rent here again.

We rented this property last year during homecoming week and decided to rent it again this past weekend while visiting our son at Cornell. As before, the property didn't disappoint! The house was clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay. There's a nice fire pit behind the house (down by a beautiful creek) that we thoroughly enjoyed on Saturday night. Had a wonderful stay at the house. The property is exactly as pictured - was spacious and clean and it was lovely to sit out on the front deck and watch the sunset. The property owners were attentive and responsive. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! The house was spacious yet cozy. It was stocked with everything we needed and well organized. The linens and towels were comfortable. The area is quiet and peaceful. There was a small creek and fire pit in the back and fields to look at in the morning out front. The owners left us a breakfast treat to welcome us. I will definitely recommend this property to others looking to stay in the Ithaca/Lansing area.
