Das Blue Oasis ist ein möbliertes Cottage, das sich perfekt für einen Kurzurlaub am Strand eignet und in der Hauptsaison von Samstag bis Samstag gemietet werden kann.
In der Nähe des K-Mart in Kill Devil Hills an der Meile nach 6, 5, sind es nur 4 Minuten zu Fuß durch die Straßen der Nachbarschaft bis zur Strandstraße und dann bis zur 5th Street mit einem Rettungsschwimmer. Dieses Haus ist ideal für 2 Familien mit 2 Queensize-Schlafzimmern, einem Badezimmer, einem Wohnzimmer und einer Wohnküche im ersten Stock. The blue oasis was the perfect getaway for my family to enjoy the beach for a week. We loved all the amenities from the hot tub to the proximity to the beach and shopping. We have raved about our experience to friends and family. Highly recommend!

Blue Oasis was as advertised - a clean and cute house close to the beach and other activities. We enjoyed our brief stay in the OBX area. Often proximity to beaches bring noise yet this neighborhood was great. Thankful to Lauralee for making this a relaxing and activity-filled stay for us.

The walk to the beach was quick 3 to 5 min walk, there's stores and restaurants to walk to close by. The pier was so cool and you can walk right to that also. I will try to stay here again plenty of room. Bigger in person in the pictures

We booked this at the last minute and we were so glad we did. The house is well cared for and cozy. We really felt at home. The bottom floor is the original 2-bedroom house with an addition upstairs that allows for an extra queen bedroom, separate bunk room and living area with a walk in shower. Our kids loved having their own “area” of the house. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, even syrup and spices. Overall the house was very clean.
The backyard has a fire pit, hammock, couch, tiny pool for the kids, and a hot tub! My kids were obsessed with the hot tub. It was also stocked with a beach cart and nice Tommy Bahama chairs, tents, umbrellas and toys for the beach. It was so nice not to have to pack any of that stuff into the car.
The location is ideal- only a quick 3 block walk to the 5th street ocean beach access. The beach access was a ramp- no steps. (There is room for 5 cars to park, but we never needed to because the walk was quick.) The house is just off the main road, so a little bit noisy at times, but it was worth not having to cross that road to get to the beach. There is also a new Target (with a Starbucks) 2 blocks away. The grocery store is also right across from the target.
Lauralee was very kind and accessible if we needed anything. It was clear how much energy she has invested in making sure we enjoyed our stay and at the same time took good care of the house. We recommend The Blue Oasis for your escape to the beach!

Good location, near everything including a nearby stop light to get across traffic and a short walk to beach. The kids (even the big ones) enjoyed the little pool and the hot tub was great after a long drive and the treks across the dunes. Perfect size for our group and the beach toys and amenities provided were an added bonus. The hostess was very helpful and provided alot of local information and detailed instructions making checkin/checkout and everything in between an easy process.

This home has the perfect location (just a block from the beach!!). The owners think of it all: charming and comfortable back yard with a fenced in (larger than you think) cowboy pool, hammock, picnic table, hottub, flat top grill, and comfy couch. The yard is private and the neighbors are quiet! The house includes the BEST beach cart, tent, chair, boogie boards and more! This alone is worth the rental!
The house is immaculately kept, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are larger than you expect AND their are games, puzzles, etc. the kitchen in has every gadget you could want (ninja blender, pancake griddle, waffle maker, rice cooker , wok, cookie cutters, every pan you could want and even an apron!!! The upstairs rooms have their own living room, HUGE bathroom. We put our kids upstairs and let them watch TV when they woke up. The rest of the house was SO quiet, we actually got to sleep in on vacation!!!!
We 100% will be back. The owners are the kindest people who truly go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Don't hesitate, just don't take our week!
Also, make sure to go to alligator refuge. It is a 35 min drive, but we saw 16 bears CLOSE over a two day period (only 2 hours combined). Is a future must see for us!!

This rental was perfect for our girls getaway, the Hardings have put so much time and thought into providing a home away from home. The layout of the house is perfect and is much more spacious than the pictures show. I loved the cozy backyard, the decor, very quiet area, and of course the beach.

The Blue Oasis surpassed our expectations. The upstairs area was a perfect getaway for our teens to have their own space. Every attention to detail was noticed- from the well stocked kitchen to the amazing bath products and everything in between.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and in a great location- close to the beach and the activities in Kill Devils, but also central to all the other outer banks towns we wanted to visit. Although there were just two of us on this trip, we commented several times that this house would be perfect for multiple families traveling together. The owner is very thoughtful in her communication and in the amenities provided in the house. The backyard was also really nice. It was too cold for us to enjoy the pool, but we did nap in the hammock and build a fire in the pit. We would definitely stay here again.

We have spent several weeks over the past several years staying at the blue oasis, and every year, it keeps getting better! Thank you Lauralee for your thoughtful hospitality and for continuing to upgrade your lovely home away from home. The kids love spending time in the outdoor cowboy pool, and the upgrades to the backyard space provide plenty of room to relax, both inside and out. All of the provided amenities are super helpful while staying in the house, and traveling to and from the beach. Staying here makes packing so much easier! We are looking forward to another visit next year!

This house lives bigger than it looks from the outside! A big sectional in the LR for relaxing, another living room upstairs gives space to spread out. Beds are made, bathrooms are stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Kitchen has everything you need! I loved the back patio with a large sun shade for afternoon relaxing out of the hot sun (I think the photos show an umbrella but it is now a much larger sun shade). Fire pit with fire logs provided, beach chairs and umbrella, and even a small pool (maybe 24” deep and 6’ across) with a pump so it’s refreshing for both kids and adults, and sounds like a water feature next to the patio! Very relaxing! We loved our time there!

My family and I broke down on our day trip to OBX. We stayed at the Blue Oasis and it was wonderful. Very clean and beds were super comfortable. It was so convenient to have samples of necessities like coffee, toilet paper and soap! Especially since we were not prepared for an overnight trip. Highly recommend the Blue Oasis to anyone looking to vacation in OBX.

The house was just as cute as pictured. The proximity to the beach was easy. It had just the right amount of bedrooms and baths. There were lots of toys and games to keep the grandkids busy and they LOVED the pool. I highly recommend renting from Lauralee; she was very polite and responsive. We hope to visit again!

Such a nice property! The house was roomy enough for our extended family trip. Love the "split" of the house. It allowed for upstairs guests to have a little privacy for down time for the kids. The yard is a perfect size with lots to keep the kids busy and the parents relaxed. We loved the vintage gaming system and had lots of fun reliving our youth.

Our family of 5 with kids aged 9, 8 and 6 had a great time at the Blue Oasis and it is exactly as described. Easily could have fit another small family without feeling cramped.
The same house was stocked very well which helped not having to bring as much on our drive from the northeast. Short walk to the beach, stores, restaurant and pier. The backyard was a huge plus over other houses and the kids loved cooling off in the pool when we weren’t at the beach. Lauralee was extremely helpful providing info especially since it was our first time in the area. Highly recommend the Blue Oasis!

Needed a place with no steps for my elderly mother. She loved that she did not have to climb a single step if she did not want to. We were able to drop her off at the beach access a couple of blocks over with no dune to climb! Also found out that there are beach wheelchairs available for free,if needed! That info is at the beach access. The Blue Oasis is family friendly. Great if you have younger children with plenty of toys and games. We are kids at heart & played video games. We had a cookout in back yard. Also a nice fire pit and small pool. Mom was able to get in and soak her feet while I floated. More for kids but we still enjoyed it. The patio furniture was great for our back yard 25th Anniversary meal. Love the Doterra soaps and shampoo. Everything we needed was already there including spices and cooking oil for cooking. Beach chairs were nice. I accidently left my house and car keys and they mailed them to me for free. Owners are very nice and accommodating. We had a wonderful time!

This cozy cottage was very nice and comfortable. Our daughter's family with 2 young children had their own space upstairs. Although the kitchen was compact, it was well stocked. The gem was the fenced back yard and kid's pool. We spent hours there and the addition of the patio cover made that area a nice added living area.

The Blue Oasis is a wonderful house. It has everything you need for your stay: clean, well appointed bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. The beds and couches are comfortable. It is close to the beach and has a nice backyard to hang out in. There are some games and books provided, and tvs with Roku. The property owners communicated well and were easy to contact. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a great find the Blue Oasis was!our family had a much needed relaxing vacation in the outer banks, and our stay at the blue Oasis was exactly what we were looking for. All the ammenities were thoughtfully provided with personal touch that made the house feel like home away from home. Everything was neat and tidy, and the backyard allowed for plenty of room for the kids to play. They loved cooling off in the pool! It's an easy walk to the beach, even with the family in tow, and there are plenty of things to do around the area to keep everyone entertained for the week. We arrived at the house early 1;00 The cleaning person was there. We went to lunch then beach. We went back to the house at 4:00 cleaning lady was still there. She asked if we could give her 5 more minutes which turned into 10.

We had a wonderful time in the Outer Banks at this house. The rooms are very nice and the upstairs den is a cozy place to hangout. We went to the beach everyday and the shed had all we needed to bring, from a buggy to chairs and toys. The beach is a very short walk from the house and had a lifeguard which was great.

We loved our stay at the Blue Oasis. It was extremely close and in walking distance to the beach. The house had all the accommodations we needed. We liked how the kids could have their own area upstairs for sleeping and the beds were comfortable. Lauralee was very prompt with answering any questions we had and the home was very welcoming. Better than expected.
We had an awsome stay at the Blue Oasis. Short walk to the beach where we caught some whiting and puffers also the provided beach cart was very handy. Over all the house is very nice and fit our group of 5 adults and 4 kids very well. We are oudoor people so we deffinatly appreciate the newly redone back yard. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

Great stay on short notice!
We were invited to an OBX destination wedding/elopement with only a week’s notice and wanted to find a spot for our family to all be together (groom’s parents, adult siblings and their spouses- 6 adults total). Blue Oasis was the perfect spot! We were near all the wedding related locations, great food choices, and had all the amenities of home. I was even able to put in a full day of work one of the days and had a perfect home-away-from-home office setup by taking over the upstairs seating area; the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Lauralee was a fantastic host and we’d happily visit again!

Blue Oasis is Amazing
My family and I came on very short notice and the property manager was amazingly wonderful at helping us get into the property and made check in and everything very simple and easy. Once we got there the house was perfect! It’s very well stocked with everything you need, it’s very clean and has plenty of space for a big family. Also its a close walk to the beach and close to all restaurants and attractions. Our favorite place to eat while staying there was Awful Arthur oyster bar which is two minutes away. We had a wonderful experience staying at the blue oasis and would definitely recommend it to future families!
