Location is brilliant, you are very close to many little shops and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and reasonably helpful. Room service was fast and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good, all be it a little limited.

The hotel is old and decor is a little tired. They have not put any significant Load Shedding prevention/mitigation solutions in place other than supplying a torch/lamp should you need a light in the dark during an outage. The bed was fairly uncomfortable and the room I was in was very noisy (located right next to reception and on the entrance side courtyard, so consistently had guests and staff making a great deal of noise either outside my window, in reception or outside my room). Amenities are reasonably basic. I did not find the rate to be good value for money (travel a great deal for both work and personal and have stayed in far superior for much less!) Lastly, waiting staff at breakfast were not very good, the atmosphere was thick and I was not even offered a cup of coffee.

Great location in the centre of Stellenbosch. Staff are wonderful and really helpful. Rooms clean and tidy and we had a great view from ours.

The hotel upgraded us to sister hotel nearby. The hotel was very comfortable and clean.

we were stuck in a room that was smaller than a caravan. the bathroom was smaller than a small kitchen table. if you were round you would not fit in the shower.
