We had a lovely night stay here! We received a warm welcome from all staff and had a beautiful spacey apartment with everything we needed with excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast too. Can thoroughly recommend, only wish we could have stayed longer.

Were not given the room we booked, and had to complain and show them the specifications of our booking and were then changed to the correct room. They are affected by loadshedding and certain things don't work during loadshedding.

The doors and window panes rattled, I hardly slept. It was quite windy. Also noise from people arriving during the evening.

The omelette was amazing, you have to experience it to know what I'm saying...Esme and the staff were exceptional, sorting out a miscommunication for me very quickly, the barman, the waitrons, everyone is at your service at all times...I will go back for a longer stay soon.

I absolutely loved everything, but my wife suggested perhaps providing gowns and slippers to make it totally flawless...

large beautifully decorated villa for 2 couples. very comfortable. lovely views. not too far from the centre of Franschhoek

although the property was clean the bathroom was a bit dusty and the mirror hadn’t been cleaned properly. the windows were also pretty dirty which all detracted from an otherwise lovely property. the property usually has a backup generator during load shedding but this wasn’t working when we were there and no alternative provision eg candles/lanterns had been provided. at breakfast some children were picking up pieces of melon and cheese and putting them back - supervision or alternative ways if serving is required.

Breakfast was very good. It is not a resort. It is a very comfortable base from which to explore Franschoek and the surrounding areas and retreat after dinner to the peace and quiet of L'Ermitage. Parking is easy and well located. My favourite part of the day was getting up early and watching the sun rise across the mountains and the huge fat Carp fish in the pond.

There was some construction going on and there was an open leak or connection opposite our villa, but although it wasn't pretty, it didn't cause any issues.

Beautiful hotel, stunning scenery and good location with lovely rooms. Unfortunately, the experience with the service ruined our overall view of the hotel.

During our stay we sent laundry out for dry cleaning. They failed to return a dress and we left not realising it hadn't been returned. When this was discovered, I contacted the hotel to let them know and they confirmed it was in their possession. They did not contact me to let me know it had been returned. I've asked them to return it, and have had to chase multiple times to get any response. Despite the error being made by the hotel and their service provider, I've received only basic and unhelpful responses back, including "you can arrange and pay for your own FedEx". For a hotel of this caliber, this is not what I would expect at all and am incredibly disappointed and irritated that they are holding my property hostage with no apology or attempt at correcting the mistake.
