Coffee could be better. More vegan options for drinks needed, but plenty for vegan food.

Loved the well-preserved yesteryear home! And staff was very helpful. Also walkable to the sabarmati river waterfront.

Very special atmosphere. A very good example of an outstanding renovation of a traditional architecture. Breakfast is fresh and tasty, staff is always keen to help and location is great.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Services were to the point as well. Truly a heritage stay, haveli feeling gives you a home feeling and inviting guests to meet was enjoyable as well.

Being a heritage site, construction is old so in the bathroom, water gets collected as certain spots due to levelling issues.

Absolutely stunning heritage hotel in the centre of old Ahmedabad. The room was beautiful, as was the pool. Had two excellent meals in the restaurants. We were really pleased and impressed - wish we had been able to stay there longer!

Not much to complain about! The mattress was quite hard, and we had a connecting door to another room which wasn’t very soundproofed.

The House of MG is simply breathtaking! As a family we stayed here for 15 days and we did not regret choosing this hotel. It’s unique old heritage style architecture on the outside mixed with it vintage india decor on the inside makes it a spectacular place to stay. The ambience transcends you back to what old india was like but at the same time provides you with all the modern amenities you need and more! The location is bang on central which allows you to travel to anywhere in Ahmedabad in no time. The restaurants are mind blowing. The infamous Agashiye rooftop restaurant serves outstanding vegetarian all you can eat Thalis. Don’t miss out! The open air Green House cafe serves you devine breakfast, lunch and dinner with traditional Gujarati and World dishes. The ambience is amazing! The best part of the hotel is its impeccable service ethic. The guest is their number one priority from room service to catering to security to front of house. Whatever you want or need, it’s delivered without fail and with genuine love and care. I can’t end this without some notable staff mentions who went out of their way to treat us like their extended family. Heartfelt thank you to Chirag and Parul from the Green House, Harsh S, Hasmukh and Pawan S from house keeping, Bradal, Prakash and Urvesh from Front of House and the wonderful Bharatbhai from security. The House of MG was truly home away from home and we can’t thank enough everyone who works there for their hospitality and endless care of me and my family.

The Swimming pool although beautiful is a waste. It’s located in a very uninviting area of the hotel and in my 15 days there I didn’t see anyone using it. They really need to do something about this.

Great place very beautiful, one should go around amazing decoration. The room are big , clean , great shower and the soap smell amazing , after 10 days tripe it was like coming to heaven. The restaurant serving serving high quality of Indian food not as cheap as any other restaurant but worth it.

There is a school next door, so it’s a bit noisy by morning time. Check in took more time then they said.

Stunning property, filled with treasures and beautifully designed rooms and amazing atmosphere. Superb meals and excellent location. Highly recommended.

The size of the room was nice

The in room dining experience on day 1 was horrible. I asked for a chaat with chutney and they forgot to add the chutney. The 2nd day was equally bad. I ordered for something and they did not provide it.

service in the restaurant on the ground floor is poor. the staff is slow, lazy and not interested to work. cleaning service is slow and clumsy too.
