Excellent breakfast with amazing views! Great BFast host. She was friendly and on top of filling the food. Key was in the door. Room was very clean and bathroom was excellent and very modern. Large TV screen was awesome! Excellent parking. LOVELY place... very quiet room. WILL SURELY STAY HERE AGAIN if in the area. Room is modern ad tastefully decorated. GREAT location. Glad we stayed here. The place felt home like. BEST RAIN SHOWER IN THE WORLD!!!

No elevator! So we had to carry our luggage on a tall set of stairs with no landing. Carry or drag luggage to the stairs was a hassle as the area is unpaved and especially in rain its hard with no help. You practically have to carry the luggage as wheels don't work on gravel from the car to the stairs. Once in the room... Rest was great!! :)

Rooms not as cosy as on the pictures, bathroom always damp, no fridge even though everything else for cooking is there so we ended up throwing food away. Really intense fish smell all over the premises. (More than you can imagine as you're reading this review.)

The double shower and its water pressure, the room, the views, the staff, the breakfast, the bed, the sauna. We loved to meet Markus and Luciano at the cafeteria, they helped us with our gluten free meals and were very kind and nice, they walked the extra mile to make our days there :)

The tv has not watchable channels in English, but we could accede youtube on the tv to listen to music or watch a documentary. The room was very clean when we arrived but it was not done at all in the 3 days we stayed there, which is weird for an hotel room. No fresh towels in the sauna and sauna rules are not very clear for foreigns. Reception entrance is not very well indicated. About the smell of fish read on previous comments: it is true, as fish is hanged to dry but it's absolutely not something unbearable, you get use to it after few minutes and don't smell it anymore. You are in a fishermen town so of course you will find fish smell, as in many other places in Lofoten.

The surrounding environment was excellent that was good for sun rise & sun set. The apartment internal was spacious with good design. We reserved an apartment for 2 rooms & one bathroom for 2 couples. At first, we were assigned to an apartment but one bathroom was inside one of the rooms. This was not acceptable. We were then changed to another apartment with the bathroom outside the 2 rooms. We apprecaited the way that hotel handled.

Peaceful location by the water, great relaxing stay. Reception and breakfast were served by Marcus, whose service was excellent. Was given an upsized cabin for free (appreciate it!!).

Location may need a car to access and move around for food if you are not eating at its restaurant.

The living room and kitchen are very spacious with nice cozy decorations. The bathroom is big and modern. On top of that one can access the sauna for free.

one night in this rorbuer. No water on the morning on the cabin and Réception closed. breakfast included on the reservation but restaurant closed (no breakfast taken). Impossibility to give back keys and make a proper check out. Unprofessional.

Lovely hotel in a very nice location, view from the hotel is amazing. We stayed in the main building and had a very comfy room, nicely decorated, big and practical bathroom, staff was very nice. Good breakfast with nice options.

Really luxurious hotel room. Food in the restaurant was really good.

Quite a long check in. Several people waiting in the bar/reception area while other guests sorted issues with their room. It was noticed though and speeded up. Lovely hotel but Ballstad itself wasn't for me.

We had an apartment which was beautiful, modern and well-equipped. Including fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and very comfortable seating area with TV. We also liked the location at the end of the town and right by the sea. Very friendly reception staff. As a bonus, there is a really nice sauna, which is included in the room rate. Facilities of the restaurant looked amazing, but we did not visit it during our stay.

Changing inside temperature seemed to have no effect. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Breakfast was awesome and room was very cozy.

The location is stunning and quiet and there’s a pretty cool restaurant right next to the apartment. We received an upgrade, so we can’t really complain.
