A beautiful location, amazing grounds, the garden is incredible. It's a peaceful and restful place to unwind and learn about the area.

Suggest they don't use coconut oil in the cooking, it's very noticeable in the rice and curry. The place is old and needs a spruce up, it's looking a bit tired.

2-night stay at a working plantation. Rooms furnished with the original (?) 1930s furniture. Excellent meals and attentive staff. Good tour of the tea plantation guided by their manager. Good opportunity for a hike to the lake. Nice swimming pool. Overall wonderfully quiet and relaxing.

Staff excellent and good chef..Beautiful location

The owners family was around for a couple of days making it awkward for the staff on who to prioritize and a bit awkward for the guests who felt a bit like intruders

Fantastic place, good hiking possibilities in the area too. Everything is perfect.

The manager can arrange you a guide for hiking, but be aware if charged on your bill, give to the guide the tip you want but not the full amount as I did. When I got the bill they deduct it finally but after discussions, the guide denying having been paid. This leave an unpleasant feeling especially that all the rest was so great, including the hike. Also the place is expensive compared to other similar place I’ve been, but for Europeans it stays very reasonable.

Food, service, rooms and above all staff truly excellent. Best stay during our trip to Sri Lanka and we stayed in some higher profile and more expensive hotels. The views, sunsets and waterfalls as well as the tour of tea plantation with Mr Das were some of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The service is very personal and attentive and it feels like you're staying in your own colonial tea plantation as there are only a few rooms. Food is uniformly excellent. We would go back in a heartbeat (that goes for Sri Lanka generally, but especially here.
