Shabby rooms and unprofessional staff

the Wi-Fi was awful and our room was in the back and smelled if we opened the door

we switch to a different room. The bed was not comfortable at all, and was having problems with the AC.

Everyone was very friendly.

It didn't have a working TV, or hot water in the bathroom sink, or a bath tub like we expected.

the hotel is very far from placencia. the food was not great. the shuttle times are not very regular.

Nothing! We left a few days early and found another hotel to stay at down the road until we could check into our current hotel booked through your company.

Our room had mold on the walls, doors had stains with we are not sure what, dirty & stained bedding and towels, shower handles were broke, water leaked onto floor when using the shower, we asked about water and was told the outside faucet where the animals drank from was our water source for refill a small water container, phone in the room was broken so we made several trips back and forth to front desk to let them know we were unhappy with the very poor conditions. I have the WhatsApp and tried calling and texting front desk and no answer. Restaurant was limited with food choices. When we asked for room service we were told no but we could order from restaurant and take back to the room. At night the pathway lighting to and from the parking area, drop off, front entrance, pathways to and from rooms and the pier were not working, broken or just missing light bulbs. Stairs, walkways and paths were crumbling or missing step stones. There are so many things that need immediate repair or replaced due to being a hazard. We spoke to several workers and was told the owner has ran out of money. The resort would need approximately 2 million dollars to start the current repairs. The online pictures that is currently being used to advertise is false advertising. Pictures are from many many many years ago. we were not the only couple that left the resort early.

The pool was great, as well as the food and the staff. The beach is well tended to look pristine. Great atmosphere all in all.

They flat-out refused to give me a tax invoice, even after Booking.com's intervention (you connect the dots here 😉) so that 12.5% you pay on top of everything is a rip-off.

I was charged way more than the total when I entered credit card information. Not only that, but it was charged 2 times, on different dates.

Resort grounds were well kept

Disappointing. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms are severely dated. Our sheets were dirty upon arrival, towels still stained, shower was stained. The trim had been removed but not replaced from the bathroom door and it would not close or lock. We had a "two bedroom suite" which was just two separate rooms with the doors in between unlocked. Coffee/sugar in room was clearly not fresh/changed between guests which is not sanitary. You share doors with the rooms next door therefore you hear everything in the room next to you. The hotel was virtually empty during our stay yet we still had guests on top of and beside us so it was extremely difficult to sleep during the night due to noise. Food at the restaurant was pretty good. Drinks are expensive, they didn't honor their own advertised happy hour...? Overall, there are many better places to stay in Placencia that are nicer and much closer to the village.

The pool of course. Best pool in Belize. Kids enjoyed seeing the iguanas, playing on the beach, and there's a large shallow area of the pool for them. The resort offers a free shuttle into Placencia and that's a great offer!

The gym gets flooded. The Tennis Courts are ruined. The TV/Technology is from the late 90's (at least before USB's). And the staff could show a little more excitement or smiles. The internet was decent but there wasn't a desk or business area that I could find to work.
