Great service, and the sauna is a very nice addition. We watched the World Cup final with some other residents.
I thought the buffet was not great, but at least there is a buffet.
The walls are quite thin, and there are a lot of groups with children. Luckily, they are quiet during sleeping hours, so it is not too much of a nuisance.

it’s located pretty far away, you have to drive 15 minutes up the mountain
my room was dirty! hair and dirt in the bath room on the ground and on curtains was something sticky
you can hear the neighbors and the hallway, even when the brush their teeth, so I woke up a lot during the stay.

Good location for cross-country skiing, friendly staff and good breakfast for that price! Amazing view from the dining hall.

It was a perfect place for a 3 day ski-trip. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and flexible. The rooms were really clean and well equipped (towels etc.).
We could use the guest kitchen anytime which had all the basic kitchen stuff we needed. We also ordered breakfast which was totally worth it.
Totally recomended for group of friends or families!

It is perfectly situated - 10 minutes from Schladming slopes, old fashioned building but with all basic things, belvedere place with amazing views, easy car access .Do not hesitate to book if you come for skiing or hiking in summer!

We had an amazing stay at Mountain Hostel! The rooms were great and we especially loved having the balcony with the gorgeous view! :) In addition to the comfy beds, we really enjoyed the nice, hot showers and excellent Wi-Fi. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing! We would definitely stay here again! :)

Surrounded by mountain peaks, the hostel offers stunning views. Parking is comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable - soft towels, warm temperature, comfy bed. Breakfast was well worth its price. I loved the calm environment and a short walk in the nearby forest. A dragon is waiting for little visitors there, just a few meters from the hostel! I would love to come back with my family and enjoy the place in summer as well.

Great for that price. I did not expect that. Nice Staff. Amazing view from the balcony. Very good breakfast. Possible to have coffee and tea anytime. A lot of parking space. Training Klettersteig in the vicinity. Summer Card served us great, free entry to Dachstein Gondola - reservation needed. Quiet place.
Would be great to have some snack options during the day or in the evening. Restaurants nearby were closed already.

The interior is a bit outdated, but it is clear from the pictures, so it is not a surprise.

The hostel is located in the perfect mountain setting. Frontview towards Schlamdming, backview to the stunning Dachstein massiv. Right in front to the hotel the kids adventure trail starts. Spacious rooms, though a bit worn out in some places. Very helpful staff and not to forget the valuable Dachstein Card is included in the stay. The kids loved the trampolin with a view.
