We loved everything about our stay at the Whale Bay Surf Bach. The location to the waves is just steps away. Beautiful views of the points in a quiet neighborhood.

My wife and I stayed at Whale Bay Surf Bach for 4 nights in April and agreed it was one of the best stays we have ever had. The location and views are incredible. Nothing beats checking the surf from your bed, taking a private entrance to one of the best breaks in the country, and then relaxing in the jacuzzi with ocean views. The property itself was very clean and had all the right amenities. Hope to return again soon!

This place was very comfortable and practical. The extra things supplied like salt/pepper, oil/vinegar, tea/coffee/sugar meant we didn’t have to buy and then waste our own.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was in perfect condition and with everything we needed, including really great small touches (raglan roast coffee, nice bed linen etc). It’s right over the water, couldn’t get closer to the surf, and everything was super easy. Thanks so much! Would stay here again without hesitation

A lot of surf action this week so very good viewing. I can't imagine there are many spots around Raglan that get you closer to the action, while staying safe and dry with a nice glass of something in hand :)

You could not be closer to the sea and the gate at the bottom of the property, that opens onto the sea path is totally 'magic garden'.
The flat is is very well designed and makes the absolute most of a relatively small space through clever design. Comfortable and with a bachy vibe but at the same time everything is fresh and modern.
The listing's pictures are totally accurate and lying in the spa listening to the surf is just the icing on the cake.
Highly recommended.

Whale Bay - out of Raglan
Property was as stated and very clean and comfortable.
We stayed in winter so although we love the beach it was noisy due to the surf being so rough even with earplugs at night.

Mesmerising View!
A very clean and well-renovated smallish space. The spa was sparkling clean and a great way to relax and soak up the everchanging views of the ocean. We enjoyed having access to whale bay at the bottom of the property. Attention to detail with many things being very high quality (lovely linen ect) We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Raglan Escape
Fabulous position - stunning view. Tidy, compact but well appointed and stocked - loved the sturdy nature of the place. Not too far from Raglan town...quick drive to lots of great food, galleries etc. totally enjoyed the experience.

Whale Bay Surf Bach
This bach has an absolutely stunning view of Whale Bay, and the spa pool and outdoor area was wonderful. Unfortunately the accommodation itself just does not stack up to the not inconsiderable price. It was way too small to accommodate four adults comfortably, cooking facilities were woefully inadequate and there were several issues with pests, broken items in the place. Sadly we felt the property was overpriced for the level of comfort and the advertisement does not honestly/adequately describe the accommodation. The view makes up for a lot, but it isn't everything!

站在院子里看出去的景观与宣传照倒是完全相符，但还是对摄影师的功力赞叹不已，居然用广角镜把这个完全是地下室的房间（楼上可能是房主家居住的）拍到如此没有一丝压抑感！房间窄小，幸好我们才入住了3个人，基本无法容纳正常体型的5个人。设施老旧，淋浴房还要借光漱洗台上方的灯，卫生间最窄处还要侧身行走，连洗衣机都不配备，建议房主把早已生锈的炉灶换一下,希望下一位客人能比我们幸运。这个地下室unit与广告含糊不清的描述感觉是大相径庭的，相对于疫情下的这个价位真的不值，肯定不推荐使用。顺便提一下，回家后才发现腿部还有一片虫咬的痕迹。

Amazing thank you. Location extraordinary and we loved the spa and the privacy . The only note was very minor, the kitchen sink plug didn’t work that well and the water kept draining away before we could finish the dishes. Thank you very much for a beautiful restful stay

Paradise
An amazing little place full of relaxation and tranquility. The surfers were constantly in front of the house which made for great entertainment, the spa was amazing and the space was perfect for a quiet get away. It was magical! Thank you!

Cran Stay
Loved the location and views. Property was tired though and disappointed with quality. Very dated - some simple improvements needed - bedside table and light in main room, tap in bathroom needs fixing, cooking facility poor, and we had an ant infestation. These things did detract but we had a great time on balance as location was stunning. Small touches like some milk in fridge on arrival etc would help along with info on Raglan etc. Rgds Al and Vicky

Felt like honeymooning
We had such a relaxing stay. We hardly left the place for the 2 nights. My spouse is a surfer and he could had stay there for weeks. I enjoyed reading my book and the sun. It is sheltered spot, eating outside was fabulous. Good basic kitchen. Simply blissful, I would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. Good views and location. Only 2 small complaints. As it is quite a way from any shops it would have been nice to have a small amount of milk in the fridge for when we arrived to start us off with cuppas. And its lovely to have the spa pool except the positioning of the outdoor table and chairs makes it hard to walk past to get back inside. I broke my toe on a pipe that sticks out that you have to walk past. I would definitely recommend to others however as we loved it apart from that.

Awesome 48 hpurs where you can 'touch' the surf
Just the best - what a great set up - even the weather and the waves celebrated our post-covid getaway. neat safe small area for kiddies, and relaxing chill outdoor space for adults, all in together. even managed to do a roast leg of lamb in the mini oven!
We'll be back asap!
PS Please check the thermostat on the electric fry pan - we couldn't get it to warm up even though the controller was glowing red.

Gorgeous place
We had a lovely stay at Doc and Sandras property. We stayed in the room at the front that was private with the most beautiful outlook. The room was spotlessly clean wi t yh everything you might need and the bed really comfortable. The 'throne bidet was an interesting experience too! We looked into buying one on departure. Doc and Sandra were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The food provided was exceptional with cooked salmon for breakfast. We had dinner both nights we stayed and really enjoyed the food ....... delivered to the room! Area surrounding the accommodation was quiet and picturesque with some great walks. We travelled around NZ for two weeks and both agreed out two nights here were the best. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends.

Awesome vacation spot
This was our first trip to NZ and this place is going to be hard to beat for the rest of the trip. Owner took us fishing, the surf was right out front, weather was flawless, sunny and hot everyday. One of the best spots I have ever stayed in!
