central location. it was clean and we only needed an overnight stay as we were going on to the coast the following day.

parking was difficult to find and over the next road. however it was secure. the triple room was also very tight and overlooked a main roundabout. also maybe the time of year ( late April) but air conditioning was not functioning so we needed to open a window at night which was a little noisy.

Near station a 20 minute walk to cathedral, the only reason I came here.

was made to feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome in the restaurant not so much by staff but the clientele a family with young children was not what they wanted after being stared for around 20 mins discussing our meal choices we decided to leave as we really didn’t feel comfortable and this really spoiled our stay which was such a shame

The guy serving dinner in the restaurant was the only one not so friendly. Like we were too much trouble for him.

Location near a noisy railway station and a busy street. The hotel does not have a place where you can stop nearby and unload your things from the car - you are forced to stop in a busy lane at the exit of the roundabout.

Ordered "superior" room - very small with a bathroom suitable for people with a maximum height of 160 cm. Mold in the bathroom. the double bed shown is actually a 1.5 bed, with a metal shelf on one side that you hit your head on several times a night. There is nowhere to move the bed. Paid parking is in a very strange yard in a block across the street and by passing through another building and having to cross a busy street. For vehicles with a lower chassis, it is quite problematic to enter without the risk of damage. The exit follows a steep metal staircase. I can't really imagine how to transport bulky luggage. Extremely unhelpful and arrogant reception staff with no attempt to solve anything. When asked whether, according to them, the room corresponds to the "superior" category, he only responded that the upgrade from the "comfort" category to the "superior" category was done by booking.com and this is not their concern.

it said it was renovated 2 years ago but the room and the smell of our room, didn’t seem like it. Our room stink, pillows, the toilet, the big queue at breakfast.

1. Booking.com description regarding free parking is misleading as one has to park ‘free’ off the property at the railway station. The hotels parking has to be pre-booked which is something that is not made clear. 2. Our room was described by the young lady working the evening shift as ‘their best room’. I’d hate to think what the worst room was like as our bathroom smelt like a French pissoir, a fact that has been reported to the morning staff. The young lady in the morning was very upset on our behalf and hence offered us complementary breakfast! Make if it as you will. 3. The gentleman member of staff was very helpful in providing an adapter for the mains plug.

The parking was perfect

There could be non-dairy milk at breakfast, otherwise very limiting for vegans

Needed a room for 1 adult and 4 children under 10, not many hotels can cater for this. We had adjoining rooms, ideal for our needs and very comfortable and well equipped. Restaurant was perfect for dinner and breakfast. Old part of town is an easy walk from the hotel.

Parking is across the road in station car park, not quite as convenient or secure as a private car park, but close enough and not really an issue.

Rooms were refursbished in 2020 (as per Website/advertisement) but the bathrooms were obviously left out. the shower showed several areas of moist, bathroom in general is very small. One of our rooms was not cleaned (used towels, old garbage in waste bins, bed not made), a no go during these times!
