Malerisches, charmantes Anwesen, das, behutsam renoviert, mit einer liebevoll ausgesuchten Ausstattung und historischen Details überzeugt. Ein äußerst zuvorkommendes Personal und eine exzellente Gastronomie ergänzen den wunderschönen Rahmen perfekt.

Der absolut überzeugende Gesamteindruck wird lediglich durch einzelne, eher unwesentliche Details wie Plastikpapierkorb oder Drahtkleiderbügel ein wenig gestört. Der Komfort im Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Very handy for us a roadside stop

We stayed in an annex building, in the “Junior suite”. I do not recommend. It is extremely dingy/dirty in places. There was one functional socket and it was falling off the wall. Doors full of dry rot, the toilet door doesn’t close. Up steep, rickety stairs. Carpet stained, floor creaky enough to wake the dead, musty and stinky. No internet/Wi-Fi (when mentioned to the reception, was told it was because of the weather). Cleaning lady started vacuuming outside the door at 8 am. Dinner was good but service amateur and slow. Breakfast selection meager and shabby. Bad coffee.

Leonstain is such a lovely hotel, full of character, beautiful grounds, fabulous beach club. Was lovely to be „welcomed back“ by the reception team, some hotels don’t seem to recognise returning Booking.com guests… Room was probably bigger than what we had booked.

The WiFi really only works in the main building. Would have really appreciated if reception had asked if we wanted a Kärnten Card upon check in or at least mentioned that it is available to guests Room was a bit dated
