Loved the location of the property and that breakfast was included.
There were not all toiletries that I was expecting and had to go buy my own (conditioner, body cream, toothbrush/toothpaste).
The tub/shower should have a curtain in order to make sure no water splashes in the floor…was uncomfortable to shower because concerned that water would spill on the floor.
Some hours during the day there was a very bad odor in the room …not sure if there’s a drainage issue.

The location is magnificent. We loved being just metres from the beach and lots of restaurants. Scilla has been a standout destination and we really got to enjoy all that it offers while staying here.
The room was uncomfortably hot when we arrived, there was lack of communication from staff about air conditioning and other things such as breakfast times. Staff were generally really nice but didn’t communicate properly with us.

Good coffee and breakfast. Spacious rooms. We stayed on two separate nights, two weeks apart. When we arrived the first time, the woman on reception was exceptionally helpful in getting our parking issue sorted out and told the local police in no uncertain terms to push off! On arrival for our second visit, the young guy on reception was also extremely kind and even came out to carry some of our bags inside despite me saying it wasn't necessary. We appreciated the hotel so much the first time, we returned. Says it all.

Location was great. The room was lovely. Loved sitting on the balcony.

There was an issue with the water as it was not warm, but this was rectified after we asked the staff although it took about two hours for them to come to the room! Also in the morning, the scrambled egg was cold and had to be reheated by microwave.

The staff is the best, both guys at the reception area helpful and nice, the cleaning person just grabbed our luggage and help bringing it down, incredible ppl. The room wasn’t the biggest but we actually had 2 rooms, maybe it was not Marriott but there is no Marriott there anyways, everything about this hotel was surprisingly good

The view of the room was just fantastic with the beach and the fortress. The hotel itself is a former palace so it is really elegantly decorated. The room was a pleasant surprise, with fine furniture and deco, daylight and confie bed. The cleaning was impeccable.
The staff was generally ok, but the last person we dealt with was not exactly trained in hospitality manners: for breakfast guests are not allowed to use the machines (coffee, egg boiler...) that is ok, but since there was nothing written, it is difficult to know... This person came to us and insisted (on a bad mood) on doing everything, to the point he even shouted at us "I'll do it". Pitty to finish our vacation with that little piece of bitterness.

Really convenient location at the end of the beach. Nice room, slightly old-fashioned but very clean and spacious. Good breakfast with ham, freshly squeezed orange juice, good coffee, and fruit salad.
What a shame that on both mornings we had breakfast there, the bread was from the day before. Who wants dry bread for breakfast?

Location is superb, only 5 mins walk from station and right in front of the beach. The hotel is an old charming building with character but it was really well equipped and had everything needed - good wifi, really great shower pressure, air con worked super well, lots of space. Would definitely recommend!
It’s a really minor point but it felt like the hotel had tougher than necessary covid restrictions, mainly not being able to get your own breakfast from the buffet and having to ask someone for everything, instead

The hotel has no lift and the parking advert was a bit misleading. The car had to be either parked on street or handed over to a parker to park it what I consider very far away.

Location great, staff very pleasant, a lovely charismatic hotel, close to some nice restaurants and the beach.
The jacuzzi in the bathroom very noisy over the top loud, a little more attention to detail (petty but worth noting for the benefit of the Hotel staff) batteries missing from remote control and another not working
