The terrace and the garden are so pleasant and peaceful. I felt like at home

Lovely Hosts.

We enjoyed our stay a lot as it was our first stop on Ko Chang we were suprised by the beautiful garden and the little beach that is like a 5 minute walk from here. The owners really care and make a great breakfast! Also you have shops, a laundry option and Restaurants right down the street. They have 2 lovely little welcoming dogs and you can rent a scooter for a cheap price if you like. All in all a very good and cheap place to stay!

Amazing location for getting to everything on the island, near nice beaches and good food places

The roof was very very noisy at night with the rain, especially due to fruit falling on the roof and making loud noises waking us up. Very very basic accommodation, toilet and shower were full of mosquitoes due to having a big hole in wall above the bathroom mirror.

Both the location and atmosphere r just charming. Would return there for sure.

We loved our stay at Rock Inn. It's at the end of Bailan village on a quiet street, surrounded by jungle and banana and durian trees. The owners are very kind and had sweet dogs and cats. The gardens are beautiful with a frog pond and it's very quiet. The room was very comfy and excellent value for money.

You will need a bike to get around. Rent one from lonely beach. No hot water but that's not necessary and it's not that cold. There aren't really any negatives for me, it was a fantastic stay. Would return!

Very pretty gardens. Friendly owners. Plenty to eat and drink in the area. The room was quaint and clean.

Maybe a little pricey for a room without aircon. Unfortunately there isn't really a swimmable beach in Bailan, so the location isn't brilliant. Perhaps because of Songkran there was a family who started a BBQ late and it went in until 5am right next to the rooms. If I hadn't been so wrecked it would have kept me up all night.

I'm so happy I found this gem nestled into the jungle, surrounded by the most beautiful garden, butterflies and peace. Even during pretty much deserted Covid times, Gerhard and Phen tend to this special place with so much love and knowledge and create an environment of serenity. It's a place full of character, which can also be said about both hosts. They are extremely friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Bailan is definitely not the place for cheap cocktails, entertainment and elephant pants (as of 12/2022 ...). Being inherently happy to entertain myself though, I was looking for nature, sweet people, papaya salad and tranquility, and that's what I got. The bungalows are built in such an intelligent way. Simple, but the whole was greater than the sum of its parts: mosquito shields, good air circulation (no AC, bot not needed in my world), comfy bed, impeccably clean and with sunlit, charming terraces. This might be the place for someone neither attracted by the Ibis nor a party hostel. Thank you so much, you two!

Has a nice garden where you can sit and relax. Peaceful place. Walking distance from a beach. Good breakfast with fresh vegetables at a decent price. Wifi we had was good. Owners are honest and friendly(German&Thai) with a decent spoken English. (they can arrange boat tour or other attractions for you(booking & travel from hotel to the pier) really convinient. If you like pet, owners have 4 adorable small dogs(clean and gentle dogs)and a cat. Not as regular dogs you see in Thailand. They don't bark or bite, not disturbing at all. My son really loved playing with them. It is far from nightlife noises(like white sand beach has). If you like hanging in bars, this might be not for you. But for us, small family(3people) that's was better than we expected. Atm, minimart and few restaurant near by.(walking distance) It may be not the most impressive hotel on the island, but it's clean and for the price, you won't find better. Perfect for a small family on a budget. Also can rent motorbike from the owners if you need one. We just stayed 7 days there and had a great time. Wil definitely be our first choice next time we go to koh Chang. Thanks.

On this part of the island, the main road isn't large. The road is getting old by now. Can be dangerous on motorbike. Drive slowly or get a taxi pick up truck. Parking is small, perfect for a few motorbikes but cannot have many cars.

Everything else is satisfied.

No air conditioning

The space was clean,affordable, has a beautiful view and in a decent location. Restaurants available near by and an ATM right next to property. Both the husband and wife who work there are very nice. I was one of the first people to stay at the property after the reopening of the island due to covid. I didn’t add the breakfast option online (not thinking anything of it). But I realized that they were short on ingredients since no one had been staying there due to the pandemic and lack of tourism. Still, the wife put together a nice little breakfast for me 2/3 days that I stayed there. She was so sweet and welcoming! Would definitely stay there again.

If you don’t rent a motorbike then it’s about a 25-30 min walk to lonely beach. Not bad as long as it’s not raining! Kinda far from both piers,just plan ahead if you book a specific bus time on the mainland!

The room, independent building, is in a very well taken garden, with passways that take you to the different rooms, this gives an impression of privacy and space, The area is very quiet and peaceful, there is a construction going on right now but I'll guess it will be done for high season and the owner doesn't work in the morning as to not disturb. Mattress was good enough. The price is quite cheap and if it's a prolonged stay it's the cheapest private room type of place I found on the island.

The walls of the hut are made of chunks of briks and cement, intentionaly of course, but the impression it gave me at least is of being untidy and very rough, if you tumble and fall to the wall it will hurt. While the mattress was on the good side, the linens felt slightly itchy and the kind that keeps the heat, the itchiness is probably because of the humidity, but the sheets weren't confortable regardless, a common blended cotton sheets would do. Had no hot water in my room, seams to be in the others thou. This has nothing to do with the place itself, but consider that if you go here in rainy season, about 70% of the restaurants and bars in the area are closed.

Owner are very nice. Our room was surrounding with jungle vibes which is one of a kind!
