The worst experience of my life. The owner is a german who refuses to speak Spanish, who only appears for breakfast and the hotel is unattended all day. He wasn't even there to check in, even though I had told him the time of my arrival. A tourist who happened to enter the hotel let me in. This german is a LYING person, because I wrote to him indicating that we were going to be 2 people instead of 1,, and even though he answered the email, he later indicated that he had not been told. The reservation was in my name, but my friend was not allowed to enter the room, and if she did not pay the full value, she could leave because his hotel was always full (that was another lie, we were only 4 persons in the entire hotel) and he offer to that return the money. With this mistreatment, the next day we decided to check out, but there he refused to return the money. We asked for a receipt and it was done on a piece of paper from his office, which is not a valid receipt. A person, who believes that he sets the rules because he believes that the hotel is his home, and that tourists should be treated rudely and without respect. I called Booking to file a claim, and they told me that they were going to contact the owner, because was not acceptable his behavior. But this man told us very rudely at the exit that Booking had indicated him I was known because I always do the same problem in other places. Which caused me a surprise, but then I understood that this man is a liar. To all the people who are interested in going to Santyani, I recommend not to go to this hotel. And I ask Booking to check and take this hotel out of the list

Great location and lovely courtyard area. Spacious room and clean throughout.

Working but rather ineffectual AC in the bedroom, no WiFi connection in the bedroom. Rather salty water from the shower and taps (but bottled water was provided for the coffee machine).

Towels rock hard and scratchy. Flannels not clean. Bedding also not clean. Stains on duvet.

Laundry really lets this place down

Small personal Hotel with lots of Charme in a very central location, the owners very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended !!

nicely but simply decorated, fantastic location both for Santanyi which we love but also more generally as a base to explore Mallorca by hire car.

there was a problem with our hot water so of 3 nights we only had one hot shower and two very cold ones! we mentioned it to the owners the first time abs they sorted it for when we returned that night but then it was cold again the night before we left so it was too late to mention again as there is nobody on site in the evening. WiFi is very slow, wasn’t able to check in online for home flight at the hotel or really use it at all!

The bed was uncomfortable, the room furnishing was poor, quite obvious that the room hadn’t been checked prior to arrival as there was no toilet paper on the rack nor was there any spare, when feedback was provided to the owner there was no response or apology Went down for breakfast to find that it had been pre set per individual with no choice? First time and place in the world to experience such a bizarre experience

VERY POOR PRICE_PERFORMANCE ans BAD VIBES AT THIS PLACE. We paid 160€ /night but we got the impression as if the owners only "milk" this place without caring for the cow or the guests. They seem not to invest in maintenance AT ALL. Antique air-conditioning/heating-system producing almost nothing but noise. General quality of accomodation was very outdated. Old bathroom with rust and mould. Fan in bathroom didn't work. No showering/hair products provided. Bad water quality (chlorine and very salty). General smell of old and used in the room. Tiny window. Noisy street. Breakfast was cheap, plastic cheese from supermarket etc. Coffee/Cappuccino tasted sour. The WiFI in our first room "Madrid" didn't work. We could only connect when standing at the door. The owner simply denied the problem, poorly replying like a guilty child. No way, she was not aware of this problem before. Only on insisting she agreed to change our room the next day (which worked out fine). Btw WiFI problem could be solved easily with another 25€ repeater. I won*t tell more about the "human" component, even though I would have a lot to say. Only so much: Bad vibes....My wife felt constantly "cold" at this place. TAKE GOOD CARE YOURSELF! I can NOT RECOMMENDED this place In fact I STRONGLY SUGGEST TO AVOID THIS PLACE!

The staff (a brown hair young lady) was managed to get someone to change some small notes for me and I only realised afterwards it was the owner and the owner also drive me to a destinations tat I wanted to go.

unfortunately the owners are extremely rude. When we arrived they were at the beach so we waited two hours to check in (supposedly they had sent an email to call them when we landed … which I did not receive). In any case for a hotel of this standard I shouldn’t have to call them to let them know I have landed I would expect there to be someone at reception at all times. Once we did check in things did not get better our air conditioning did not work nor did we have hot water. When we asked about it we were told that the air conditioning unit was doing the “best it can” as the hotel was full … (the room next to us for that night was empty) we did get a fan but its not the same thing. With regards to the hot water they did not believe us but finally we got them to check and to be fair they did sort this out but their attitude towards it was not ok. We were also told on the first night that we could only have dinner that night as otherwise the restaurant was closed and that there is no cleaning on Sundays. In the grand scheme of things these are minor details but a hotel of this standard I just expected more. We also had breakfast included but don’t be fooled the fresh orange juice is not included but they don’t say anything it’s only written in the paperwork in your room in German it was an extra cost of £35 for the 5 days we were there. Knowing how much oranges cost in Spain this is ridiculous! When it came to check out we of course were not happy and wanted a refund of some sort instead of listening to us as paying customers the owners got angry and told us to never come back. Thankfully we did not have to pay for the wine we had purchased nor the orange juices. I don’t normally want to bad mouth hotels nor individuals but in this case I found the service absolutely appalling, there was just no service mindset. On this basis I would not recommend it particularly for the price we paid.

The central location and the internal courtyard

Room: -A/C not working which was very inconvenient on a hot mid-August night. It was not even possible to keep the window open due to bad smells coming from outside (probably from the garbage left outside houses and restaurants for morning pick-up) -No running water the following morning: had to wash with water bottles (seemed to a problem of the entire neighborhood but still very unpleasant) Breakfast: Food not fresh. All fruits (already cut), cheeses and cold cuts were clearly in oxidation as they were left sitting out at room temperature since early morning, and not refrigerated. Croissants and orange juice tasted like from the day before. The village of Santanyí shuts down on Sundays, which was a pity since it was our only night there. All restaurants (including the hotel restaurants) and shops were closed and it was so hard to find a nice place for dinner. It is kind of a shame that after months of lockdown, with the little tourism still happening despite the difficult times, there are touristic destinations that choose to observe Sundays closure, giving the visitors the feeling of being in a “dead” place even during full summer and “peak” season. Surely Santanyí would have looked much more different and welcoming, but we did not have the chance to experience that.
