Sie liegen abseits einer Straße in einer ruhigen Landschaft und doch in der Nähe vieler Annehmlichkeiten. Die Stenson Hill Farm bietet Platz für die größte Familienfeier. Sie verfügt über einen eigenen Snooker-Raum und einen attraktiven Wintergarten, der den Essbereich für die gesamte Party sowie einen Garten mit Rasen und eine große Terrasse bietet Voliere mit exotischen Vögeln. Beide bieten einen Blick auf die umliegenden Felder und verfügen über eingebaute Grills. In einem Umkreis von 15 Fahrminuten finden Sie zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Calke Abbey und Derby mit seinen Theatern, Clubs und Restaurants. Ashbourne und Dovedale erreichen Sie nach 24 km. Ein Ausflug für jede Familie oder Gruppe lohnt sich in Matlock Bath, 32 km, Alton Towers, 35 km und Chatsworth House und Haddon Hall, eine bequeme Autofahrt entfernt. Beide Ferienhäuser (Ref. 16165 und 23666) können separat oder zusammen gebucht werden. Geschäft und Pub innerhalb einer halben Meile.

Great location, helpful hosts. Property a little tired in parts with upgrades an ongoing process. Some areas need early attention and a welcome pack of essentials, which we would happily pay for, would be useful. Adding WiFi would also be great.

Really enjoyed staying here. So much space and the outdoor space in particular was perfect for us to play games. Plenty of kitchen utilities etc.

Excellent for large family numbers with dogs and kids. Caretaker very friendly and helpful . Everything you could need provided and good value for money compared to other properties. Would definitely use again

We stayed here 12-15 July 2019 as a group of 20 lads.
We stayed here 12-15 July 2019 as a group of 20 lads. This cottage was perfect for us as it included a games room with a snooker and pool table, and tennis court (shared but was only used by us that weekend), and large lawn area for outdoor games such as football and cricket.
The management/owners were easy to deal with. We had no problems getting back our deposit at checkout after inspections.
Improvements:
- some decor abit dated but this was not really an issue for us, just a minor suggestion.
- maybe consider a shelter for bbq area incase of unexpected poor weather.
- only Freeview TV channels available and were lagging a lot.
- consider Wifi.
Only negative were the pesky midges outdoors! Bring insect repellant if staying here.
Overall, this place was just right for our group type. We will be back at some point in the future. It would be great to see a hot tub next time!

Great location for Derby night out. We had a stag do here and it was a great sized property with everything we needed.

We hired Stenson Hill Farm for our annual large group holiday and were impressed.
We hired Stenson Hill Farm for our annual large group holiday and were impressed. We are 5 families with 9 adults and 8 children and 1 dog.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate in number. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The water pressure of the showers could be improved.
The kitchen is large with two tables and chairs, there is an additional large dining table in the conservatory, which was great to seat all. The sitting room is huge with comfortable sofas and a very large fireplace. The games room was a hit with children and adults.
The outside space is brilliant, a well kept lawn areas where we could play rounders and the dog had he freedom to run around safely as it is not near any main roads of other farms.
We drove a short distance to Markeaton park which is situated in nice surroundings, which has a boating lake and high wire activity that the children enjoyed. We also enjoyed brunch at a lovely pub on the canal called 'the malt shovel'
The manager is highly attentive and professional. I would recommend this venue.

Only comment is that dishwasher in kitchen didn’t work however there is another in the utility and even though there are two cookers they are both very old and tricky to work as all markings had worn off.
Overall we had a fantastic weekend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Its a fabulous place to have a family get together. The house is suitable for all ages, we had 4 generations. Pool Table Snooker Table and Tennis court are all good assets to the property. Good supply of kitchen equipment and even in March we managed to do a BBQ. would recommend the house.
