Langzeitbuchung kann in Betracht gezogen werden. Dieses malerische, modernisierte Cottage (nur wenige Gehminuten von Lexington entfernt) liegt auf einer Klippe über dem Maury River gegenüber von Jordan's Point Park und VMI's North Post. Der Chessie Trail, ein verlassenes Eisenbahnbett, das zum Wandern umgebaut wurde, verbindet die Städte Lexington und Buena Vista. Er beginnt direkt unterhalb unseres Hauses über den Maury River, der im späten Herbst von unserer Veranda aus leicht zu sehen ist (je nachdem, wann er abfährt) Herbst von den Bäumen), Winter und Vorfrühling. Dieser Weg bietet eine wunderbare, landschaftlich reizvolle Wanderung für alle Altersgruppen und Konditionsstufen. Obwohl das Cottage sehr privat und abgelegen ist, sind VMI, Washington und die Lee University, Gourmet-Restaurants und einzigartige Einkaufserlebnisse nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt. Nach einem anstrengenden Tag im Virginia Horse Center können Sie zur Veranda unseres Cottages zurückkehren, um ein kühles oder warmes Getränk (je nach Jahreszeit) zu sich zu nehmen, sich zu entspannen und über die erstaunliche Schönheit dieses malerischen Ortes nachzudenken Gemeinschaft in den Blue Ridge Mountains eingebettet. Dieser Rückzugsort für alle Jahreszeiten bietet den Komfort eines Zuhauses! Adjektive, die dieses Häuschen beschreiben: SAUBER, FRISCH und UNGESCHNITTEN!

Overall impression of the property was cute, comfortable, clean, and super close to everything. It had everything we needed. We were initially a little nervous as we drove up the driveway because it was steep and bumpy and the immediate house on the driveway was a vacant home. Once we turned the bend and saw the actual home, everything was great.

The house was as described. Super clean with all the amenities one would need. We were really only at the house to sleep which was a shame as in nice weather there is more to enjoy. Maybe next time. The only thing I would say to add to the experience is that there needs to be at least four kitchen chairs around the table and there were only two. Not enough seating.

The house was perfect for our VMI Graduation. It is beautifully surrounded by trees where we were able to enjoy coffee on the screened in porch. Well stocked, comfy beds, and beautiful area

We loved the screened in porch.
The location is close to town but you feel like you in a secluded home in the country. The house was clean and well taken care of. We very much enjoyed our stay. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch talking and playing cards. There was a ground hog we named “Phil” that came every afternoon and deer as well as squirrels and birds.

Relaxing and very well equipped
This cottage is perfect! The location is very close to VMI and W and L and yet is surrounded by trees and a lovely lawn. The kitchen is very well equipped and new. The beds are comfortable. All in all it is perfect for an enjoyable stay. We hope to be back!

Visit with our grandson
We found the cottage to be very clean in a quiet setting. It was a rainy weekend for our stay but that added to the quiet. We found it to have plenty of room and loved the screened in porch and enjoyed breakfast there. Only negative was a musty smell which may have been because of the dampness of the rain. All in all we look forward to finding another reason to stay.

Comfy & Convenient to Virginia Horse Center
Cute cottage with everything we needed for our stay. The cottage — and the screened porch — was lovely to come back to after long days at the horse center. The owner was nice and responded quickly to a couple of questions I had. Cottage is also convenient to the town of Lexington as well as W&L and VMI. We would definitely stay here again.

Can't wait to stay here again next year
The place is actually much cuter than the pictures. So well supplied and taken care of. Loved the screened in porch. Never sat in any other room, just the porch. Had three clients over for pizza on the porch and they want to stay with us next year. Plan to book as soon as I know the dates for 2021. Thank you.

Cute Cottage in Lexington
The cottage was adorable, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The kitchen, which we used daily, was well-organized and well-equipped. It was spotlessly clean, though we did wipe down surfaces upon arrival, as a precaution during COVID-19 pandemic. We enjoyed seeing deer in the yard and the private setting.
The location is not bad, but I would not be comfortable walking into town...it would be a LONG walk, and at least part of the walk was on a busy road without sidewalks.

Great hosts and great property!
Katherine was a great host and described the property perfectly. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and Katherine was extremely responsive to all questions and concerns. My family had a wonderful vacation in Lexington...and a great escape from the city. Much needed fresh air and outdoor time during the pandemic! The only surprise we had was the noise from the road. We didn't expect that but it did not ruin the feeling of seclusion and peaceful relaxation.

The perfect little cottage!
3 VMI graduates back in Lexington for our 10 year reunion and this was the perfect spot to enjoy the weekend with each other. We were 4 adults and 1 child, and fit very comfortably. I loved how secluded, yet close it was to everything. The parking was plentiful and the kids could enjoy the gorgeous fall day outside in the yard. Everything described in listing as provided - I also loved the personal photos - it made it seem like I was staying at a friend's house. AC was great as well! Just like some of the other reviews, to be forewarned about the gravel hill up the driveway. It can be a little misleading (esp for this NYer!) but not bad afterall. Also, the no wifi but thankfully we were out of the house a lot. Lastly, the grill was wonderful to have but it sat inside the porch and after a long day of travel, we did not think to move it to the outside porch. I can totally understand why it's there between stays but maybe a sign would help? Just a suggestion. Otherwise 5 STARS! :-)

We had a great stay! The house was exactly what we needed.
The beds were very comfortable. The a/c worked very well. Be aware, there is no wifi, but that wasn't an issue for me. Please note, the driveway is exceptionally steep and rutted. Some drivers may be uncomfortable with this. We would definitely stay again.
