interior was beautiful and food on site was exquisite

the bed in the room wasn’t particularly comfortable, it has a large dent in the middle.

The breakfast was out of this world!! Lovely fresh bread, amazing freshly prepared fruit and yoghurt... Cooked options were also fantastic. I had avocado and salmon on sourdough with cream cheese, it was PERFECT. We had a hot tub in our suite which we used a couple of times. Proper branded jacuzzi.

Shampoo and conditioner quality wasn't great. Our room was right next to the road, so it was not quite as tranquil a setting as the pictures suggested. Road was well screened by foliage though, so we didn't feel overlooked.

The breakfast was amazing, they also looked after the dogs with a blanket and their own breakfast. The staff were very good and friendly nothing was too much trouble, and every member of staff was super friendly

We liked it all but if I was to be super critical maybe some light music in the lounge to give it some atmosphere but that's my personal preference .

Breakfast was very good. Lots of choice and lots of food!! Hotel was exceptionally clean. The roaring fires in the bar and the drawing room were amazing at this time of year

Lake district weather

The staff were lovely and very attentive and the decor was wonderful.

I have a fish allergy and we informed the staff. Half way through dinner I was told that they didn’t want me to panic but I had been served some crackers that may have been compromised with fish products! The room smelt mouldy when we arrived and the radiator in the room was very noisy, clicking on and off all night even though we switched it off. We informed the staff and they did try to fix the radiator and removed the service fee from our bill. It’s really not the stay we had planned for our wedding anniversary. It gets worse as this morning my husband had kippers for breakfast and we have driven home and he’s been so ill with sickness and an upset stomach.

beautifully presented, clean and comfortable

this hotel was simply stunning! the owners have taken enormous care and pride in decorating it and it shows. the staff were lovely as well providing us with plenty of tips on walks to do and taking great care of us. A truly memorable stay for all the right reasons. can’t wait to be able to return again one day. 😍

We love Rothay Manor, it’s the perfect home away from home. Beautiful setting, amazing food and super friendly staff. It’s a very comfortable place to stay and we never want to leave.

Wifi in the room was in and out. The bathroom could have a small dimmer lighter on a different circuit to the main one. It would be nice to have this when having a bath.
