The environment of the hotel is amazing. It's located in the jungle and there are cute animals in the garden. We were satisfied with the room and the breakfast, too.

Quiet lodge set on edge of forest. Great spot for birdwatching, walking and enjoying nature! Cafés and stores nearby. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast. Great wifi.

First of all Joshua from the front desk is amazing! He helped us with recommendations and tours and was super helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable bed Hot water in the shower cannot be taken for granted! Overall a very good stay, value for money

In the room we stayed we had sunlight in the morning (the curtains are not sealed) and you can hear people walk in the road in front of the room. It didn’t really bother. Also, location is pretty far from restaurants in Santa Elena, you need to have a car.

Breakfast was really good. Hotel had walking trail on site that was quite pretty - they offer a night walking tour we unfortunately couldn't go to (came in too late). Grounds were pretty and room was clean.

Check in was a bit difficult since we came after 10 pm - we ended up having to pay cash because the place was locked up for the night (not a big deal, but would have preferred card).

Such a great deal! The stuff was very knowledgeable and helpful, breakfast amazing and you gotta see wildlife from windows, or trails that are around the hotel

Staff is extremely courteous, friendly and attentive. The lodge is private and peaceful with a beautiful on-site trail. The location is perfect for visiting local attractions and is walking distance to a great coffee shop and restaurant. Highly recommended! A++

To see the humming birds every morning without leaving the bed, because the room had two huge windows to the gardens. The lady in the desk was very helpful booking tours and transportation.

The room gets a bit humid during rainy season which is understandable, but the sheets and clothes can get humid which is a bit uncomfortable. Maybe better isolation would solve it not sure.

Nice to have breakfast and dinner within the facility. It was more than enough and very good.

Wish they had a fan in the room. Had to sleep with windows open (they do have screens. Take earplugs in case the night insects and critters get to loud. I HAD to use them. My husband didn’t mind them.

Location is fantastic. The staff is super helpful and prompt. The room was clean and the forest around is stunning. this was my second trip and I look forward to more.

Location next to nature

There are little cabins, very basic. They could be upgraded. The walk around the premises is nice, lots of birds and butterflies. The agutis will be seen by the reception area and cabins. The first day we saw monkeys out our windows. The staff is super accommodating and only wants to please. Joshua and Jamal are great. Breakfast rocks!!! This place is close to Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve.

We had to pay at least $5 to any place we went, even if it was only a mile or two.

Little cabins that feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle but with all the comforts of a nice hotel: confortable bed, good sheets, beautiful ceramic tile floors, hot shower with strong water pressure, clean. The staff will help you organize any activity or tour. You can park right in front of your cabin. The grounds and gardens are beautiful with tons of wildlife and private trails worth hiking on.

Very nice location, there are a lot of birds around. They offer a great night walking tour and you can explore the trails around the property by yourself. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Good value for the price. Lot of activities to do around, the staff can help you decide, book last minute etc. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Lots of birds in and around the hotel.

Overall the price point does not warrant the quality. You can stay at better places for the same price. Has not been refreshed for decades. Towels were old and torn with small stains. Furniture/room setup is cheap and sloppy. Although kept clean I found a small scorpion on my towel and small dead cockroaches in the shower - probably came from the bathroom drain. Staff was pretty useless - Took unnecessarily long to check in or book an extra night. Made me come back to the reception saying he needs more checking info, but all he did was talk about tours.

Excellent location - walking distance to nice restaurants / coffee shops or a short drive to many others. Loved the on-site trails and saw some beautiful birds. Staff were very friendly. Room served our needs with enough beds for our family. WiFi also worked great.

Beds could have been better but it is what I expected for the price in Costa Rica, and the beds were nicer than other places that we have stayed. Having beds for everyone was the most important for our family so the family suite was perfect.
