Its a 20 minute walk to the beach, The room was massive, the best bath and shower ever had in hotel ! Breakfast was good quality, The pool is large and nice sunbeds around, Its got LOTS of charm and unusual quirkes

Its a bit strange not your usual hotel ,but its been changed from old manor house so maybe , the maintenance must be a nightmare and they need to spend more time on it

service standards and attention to detail not 5 star. nowhere comfortable to sit as crazy sofas throughout only for lying down. Everything just a bit limited, drinks, food, staff attentiveness etc. As I said above though the staff were really lovely but they need more training. This makes it not value for money in my book at £900 for two nights including food and drink.

We loved our garden suite because it was perfect and convenient for our French bulldog. Our room was beautiful and very spacious. Service was kind and fairly quick. Dinner in restaurant was delicious. Location was beautiful and close to other great towns. We really enjoyed the 25’ walk down to the local beach with our dog too. We also really appreciated the dog bed, bowl and treats that were placed for our dog.

There were a few floorboards that were very loose and wobbly in our room that need to be fixed. The aircon is quite old and hard to know if it’s wanting to work. We didn’t know how to turn the lights on in our garden suite at night. When we first entered with the receptionist it would have been good for him to tell us how to do so. The door to the garden should be changed out for one that blocks out winter air more. It would have been nice to have slippers with the hard wood floors and all, as well as walking over to the massage room. For a 5 star hotel I would think these would Che provided. The sofas throughout the hotel are extremely deep, like a bed, so it’s impossible to lean back unless you want to lay down. Beautiful and white, but impossible to have a quick lean-back rest like a normal sofa.

Wow - a hidden gem. fabulous room, friendly staff, great breakfast and dinner was also very good. I don’t think I can fault it!
