Not a thing, we loved it all

We absolutely loved our stay, especially the breakfast and proximity to the Rhine River as well as all the wineries.

Not much local shopping within walking distance, but we were able to drive a short distance to Eltville.

Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, lovely staff. The bed was super comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Because of the energy crisis the hotel was cutting down on heating (and turned off the heated floors) - but the room still felt warm and cosy. The hotel staff are very communicative and accommodating, we are very appreciative.

Not much - we have been coming to this hotel for years so I know what to expect and really enjoy our stays. The only thing I would say is that the hotel is not accessible for those who can't climb stairs (it's a period property and I'm sure it's listed, so would be difficult to install lifts).

Very hot room, with no fan or aircon, about kitchen door so noisy when bottles being put out. On a very busy main road so difficult to sleep with windows open and too hot to sleep with them closed. Low beam on ceiling made walking around the room difficult. Extremely expensive restaurant for the quantity and quality of the food. Plus I was charged €70.00 for a bottle of wine which I found outs costs €10.50 in the shop. i expect to pay more in a restaurant but nearly 700% mark up is ridiculous

Very nice place - just outrageous prices for drinks/wines.

This hotel exceeded, by far, our expectations! We arrived much earlier than expected but the room was made available at once. Very good big and charming room ( a bit dark, but didn't bother us). Quiet area. New interesting magazines to read in the charming little living room with a view. Huge, comfortable bathroom with amenities, excellent clean and good quality towels and even a view while combing your hair! The restaurant is well known in the region. Breakfast was excellent, the best we had during this specific trip. You would never tell at the arrival (reception has no charm) that everything would go so well.

Not important at all but I strongly suggest they empty the charming decanter/vase with the "once a wine" in the room. I an a oenophile and couldn't resist to try it. The smell was not "scary" but the taste... Does not match the place! kkk
