We absolutely loved the unit 101 at the beach for its location and layout for our family. We did have a broken dishwasher which didn't bother us as we usually use paper products on vacation. This is our second stay with RVA. Both times we reported maintenance needs. Neither were addressed during our stays.

The place was ok. It's a little dated, but served its purpose. All of the beds were very uncomfortable, and I even considered coming home early because of them. If they replaced the beds, I believe this place will get repeat customers. Otherwise, I don't think I'll come back. The nice things about it were beachfront and nicely heated pool.

We lived the location of this unit, directly on the beach. However, the unit needed to be painted, deep cleaned, and updated. The dishwasher didn’t work well, the furniture was outdated in the main living area, and there were things that were sub-standard overall, like the lighting(not enough) and the water never got hot enough. The place needs to be refreshed. The bedroom was the best part of the unit, as the furniture had been updated and the mattress was comfortable. I wouldn’t rent this unit again, unless there are changes made.

The master bedroom is spacious-the king size bed VERY comfortable. Bed in den also very comfortable. 2 baths. 1shower one tub. Living area very nice, very clean, lanai spacious and private with easy access to pool. Kitchen had nice appliances and eat-in area. Easy access onto Gulf of Mexico Drive-lots of restaurants within a short drive-be sure to check out Lazy Lobster and go over bridge to Cortez-Seafood Shack-great food and prices-seafood super fresh. My husband and I would highly recommend The Beach!

Rental unit 101 was as promoted by the RVA site. Walking from the lanai to the pool deck took 5 steps through a dedicated gate. Access to the beautiful beach was a short walk further. This rental had all of the necessities covered. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beach location and pool was excellent, bbq as advertised lacked propane and I brought this up to the maintenance guy who mentioned that he could not replace the tank due to the time, approximately 4:30 pm. Secondary tank was empty and in bad shape! AC condenser was in the main bedroom that made a lot of noise. My wife who is very conscientious about cleaning said that the room was poorly cleaned. We would have expected higher standards for the price. We will not recommend this rental unit or any on this property. Sorry but being truthful!

So, if you’re looking for something to get away, quiet, peaceful retreat with beautiful sunsets away from the center of town. This is it. I stayed in unit 101, it’s big enough, perfect sunsets from the patio. Pool and beach are right there which is convenient when traveling with 2 toddlers. The unit needs some TLC and a very deep cleaning maybe even some paint, but overall it’s a great unit and I’ll definitely be back!

Unit #101 is a nice,convenient location. We enjoyed staying there. The office staff was very helpful also. Our thoughts are that the grounds of the property and on the patios need maintenance badly, looking really bad. Although the unit was clean, the floor was not, it could have used a good mopping. On checkin day after walking around barefoot we noticed that our feet were filthy. I would have though that the cleaning fee should have taken care of this. Thanks for listening.

This property was clean and provided the main necessities. The property could stand a re-model given that there is peeling paint and marks of the walls and furniture. Our party was made up of 4 guests. Two of them were grown children, 17yr old and 23 yr old. I felt that the property was to small to accomodate this amount of people. The bunk beds would better serve small kids. The weather on the beach was not the best and it would have been nice to be able to take a swim in the heated pool just steps away from our apartment. But unfortunately the pool was not heated throughout our vacation with the water as cold or colder than the ocean water. Also several attempts over multiple days were made to speak to the person at the front desk but there was nobody there to speak to. Longboat Key ia a very private island with little restaurants and stores. There is no trolley service available to shuttle you to fun places on the island like St. Armands Circle or Mote Aquarium. All in all the vacation was okay but nothing special or worth the time or money. We will not be returning again.

Although the on site front office manager was wonderful, we were very disappointed in the room. It was very old and dilapidated. The front door was very difficult to lock and the entire until needs a fresh coat of paint. The A/C was so loud that I could not sleep the first night and was tired and groggy the next day. The shower water was like a water hose vs an actual shower. The appliances were old and outdated and the place overall felt dirty.

1) We still love the location, the beach, the rooms of The Beach. 2) Over the past few years, we have seen a steady decline in the "friendliness" of The Beach (hard to describe). 3) We booked Room 101 several weeks in advance - due to "Mandatory Evacuation" our reservation was cancelled by The Beach - we were not given the option of having our money back ($950+/-)due to vague wording in the contract. (It is doubtful that The Beach would win in a lawsuit due to the Mandatory Evacuation (the room could not be provided to us) and Travel Incurance is not provided by The Beach. Luckily, the 15th and 16th were available, and we had the flexibilty to take that weekend (mostly because we are local (Tampa). 4) For the first year ever, we were given only 1 Parking Pass for our 2 car room. We were told we can either park in the exit driveway (very dangerous for both our car and anyone exiting at night - insurane would not have covered us for parking illegally) or at a remote location (which is absurd). 5) Supplies were noticably less (like no usable cork screw, minimal soap, etc). Over the years we have really enjoyed our annual (and often semi-annual stay at The Beach - we will miss it.

Great Location. The unit itself is not what was expected for the price we paid. There are numerous maintenance issues. Very evident that this is a rental property with all the wear and tear. No cleaning products available nor mop to clean the floors and bathrooms. No housekeeping services provided. Nice view and beach. Very comfortable King size bed. Entry to condo unit is through the master bedroom which is weird. Great parking lot. Will not come again next year because we come for a month in February to Longboat Key and the price is going to be $15,000 in 2023!

It was nice location on the beach. The lower level offers an obstructed view of the ocean which gave a “closed in” experience. Not very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The dishwasher was dirty and we had to clean the bathtub. The kitchen was poorly furnished with kitchen items, such as one skillet and one pan. My mother refused to even use the pan to fry an egg. The kitchen table is too big for the area and very difficult to sit at. The chairs for the dining room table need to be cleaned. Overall, there are of plenty of other properties to stay at that are more updated and cleaner. I feel that since the cleaning fee was included, that cleanliness isn’t a priority to the property.
