1) At my arrival taken deposit (1200 CN¥) was much higher than booked price (658 CN¥ without breakfast) and reception at my departure on next day wanted to keep this deposit as payment (the question is - why?). I explained that I will pay the price according to amount in booking.com-confirmation. Reception told me OK and promised to return me the deposit (1200 CN¥) during of 24 hours. Then I paid the price 658 CN¥. Even until today (1 February) after 4 days on my credit card account I see still not cancelled deposit; 2) in the swimming pool it was not possible to buy the swimming head-cup and due to missing cup, the using of swimming pool was not allowed by service personal.

The staff was very helpful and able to accommodate all the requests with big smile. The quality of beddings and furniture was great.

Being a germ-phobic, I found some parts of bathroom and toilet were not cleaned up to the standard of rest of the property. It can be because I went for early check in which may lead towards prepping the place faster. Other than that, everything was good

The location is very convenient, quite close to the railway station. The staff is wonderful especially Leo, who helps out a lots to facilitate our visit, since we just arrived in Shanghai from abroad.

Immaculately clean, nice room and good service.

Facilities are quite basic for a Cordis- e.g. no sauna or steam room in changing room and the pool is super small with not a great room to lounge.

The bed is super comfortable and the seafood buffet is extremely good value. I was directed to get the meituan voucher for the buffet of which I’m very grateful for having a great value for money dinner.

The tiling grout inside the shower was very old and kind of mouldy. Even though I hung up my towels to reuse they were still replaced everyday which is a little wasteful. There was a small card to say to hang up the towels if you didn’t need them changed and so they weren’t following their own policy.

Bed was comfortable and the buffet dinner was great on the weekend. Staff were reasonably helpful, room was clean and comfortable and the black out curtains work well and the staff were friendly and polite.

I wasn’t aware the buffet wasn’t available on weekdays and I booked an extra night hoping to have the seafood buffet again only to find out that it was only a la carte. Quite disappointed…. their policy cards state they try to protect the environment by not changing the bed linens everyday and if you wish to reuse the towels hang them up. However on the first night I came back upstairs in the morning to find my pillowcases etc being changed and all my towels replaced even when hung up. It’s not a huge problem but just seems they don’t follow the policies helping them to protect the environment so seems a bit pointless having them. Also if you order takeaway you have to go outside of the hotel to pick it up at a station they have set up for this purpose. It’s a little annoying

Great location, walking distance from Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 and subway line 2. Staff was very friendly and supportive.

We missed our train and there were no trains back to Changzhou for the whole day so we were upset and stressed. We checked in here and immediately felt calm. There's a big desk so my partner could do his work in peace and I used the gym and pool. The pool is lovely at night lit up. There's a nice bath in the room and a big TV. We ordered some meals which were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
