It was absolutely beautiful! There was so much to do and we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful location to stay. Our host was so nice and friendly. We loved our stay here!

Upon arrival, we received a tour of the rental from Andrea. He was just a text message away and friendly/responsive to any questions we had. The rental is nicer than the vrbo photos portray. Cozy home in the woods, no sounds of the highway - just nature. Also, just a short 5-10 min walk to the lake and a 20 min drive into town for groceries. We can't wait to go back!

WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AT THIS PROPERTY AND THE OWNER AND CARETAKER WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE. THE PROPERTY IS BEAUTIFUL AND HAS MANY EXTRAS TO MAKE OUR STAY VERY ENJOYABLE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY AND HOPE TO VISIT IT AGAIN, NEXT YEAR.

Had an amazing stay at this property. Far enough away from everything to stay quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy the area of Derry, ME (if you know, you know).

It is very big . Bedrooms are great!!! Very quiet area. Saids slept 8 but we had to pay more over 4 adult and a baby. Not sure what the cut off is for charging more. Not to bad $20 a person per night. Very easy to deal with and quick taking care of anything. Would stay there again. !!!!

The property has all amenities you could ask for and more. Enjoyed the pond and hot tub. Property manager was very nice and responsive.

While staying at property the property manager was nothing but helpful and kind. He was very knowledgeable and the house was immaculate also much larger in person the pictures do not do justice ! My children absolutely loved the playroom area in basement! We had so much fun! The area is very secluded, was a wonderful stay, and a beautiful home. Thank you so much! We had a great time at this home getaway !

The house and property were beautiful. It was a nice, relaxing place to stay. The kids enjoyed the pool table. The caretaker of the property ( I do not remember his name) was amazing and available anytime he was needed.

Wonderful stay. House was very nice. Excellent kitchen. Two terrific bedrooms upstairs and two in the basement would be great for kids although the basement ones were chilly in the winter (would be great in summer!). Andreas was terrific - even got us a Christmas tree!

Bernhard's place exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, and the location was splendid. There were plenty of things to do around the house. There was a fire pit, grill, hot tub, games and a huge lake nearby where you could kayak. We really enjoyed our 4 day vacation there. Would love to go back there some day. The property manager was very prompt and friendly. Thank you for your help, and we would definitely recommend this place.

Wow. This place really has it all. You get the whole area for yourself and there are things to do from day to night. Just 2 minutes away, you can drive to the lake where you can kayak/canoe. There’s also a campfire and grill for eating festivities. At the time of our stay, Andrea was our property manager and we couldn’t ask for any more. He was very hospitable and was very responsive if we ever needed anything. Would definitely recommend this place if you have a big group.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Martins Heaven. We were a group of 5 college aged men and there was plenty of things to keep us busy. Andrea was very helpful and there for whatever we needed. The house was spacious and welcoming. It was also extremely clean upon our arrival. It was a little disappointing that there was not a boat to rent as stated as we would’ve enjoyed to fish on Lake Pushaw but the kayaks and canoes made up for the lack thereof. Thank you again for an amazing stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Andrea was very helpful and attentive. I texted him once to ask about the pool and he came right over to fix it. The hot tub was not working well, but we were able to use it. The weather wasn’t conducive for a hot tub anyway, as there was a heat wave going on. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed riding the bikes, and all of us enjoyed the kayaks. We used the game room as well. The equipment was a little bit beat up (broken pool cues,etc), but fun nonetheless. We went to Acadia one day, which was only about an hour away. Overall, a great experience! We were all very pleased!

We had such a fun and relaxing time! Feeding “Snappy” the snapping turtle in the pond was the highlight of the summer for my boys! We hope to be back!

The house and furnishings are beautiful. Spacious property with all of the privacy peace promised. The house was everything as listed and was perfect for our family. The property manager Andrea was wonderful and welcoming. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this rental to others.

The property is beautiful and has everything you could need. Just pack some food and sunscreen. The property manager is incredible. He was so attentive and nice. Always there to answer a question.

Place was immaculate and beautiful. Grounds are serene and lots of wildlife. Would have been nice if it was closer to the lake but as the ice wasn't out yet, it wasn't a big deal. Definitely would go back.

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday at Martin's place and were welcomed with the first snow falls! It was gorgeous! Be aware that your GPS might take you to the wrong number on the road, at least Waze did for us but luckily Andrea was there on behalf of the owner waiting for us on the main road despite the cold! The kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to cook a full traditional Thanksgiving dinner thanks to all the kitchen tools and appliances at our disposal! The bedrooms upstairs are huge, and with a beautiful view on the pond (which was frozen and lots of fun for the kids to skate on) and the surrounding forest. On the down side, the bedroom downstairs in the playroom was kind of noisy because of the water pipes running next to the beds but the kids moved to the other bedroom downstairs and everything was just fine. If your kids are deep sleepers or if your whole party is waking up at the same time then that shouldn't be a problem but if your kids sleep light and you have a mix of early birds and night owls with someone taking a morning shower or doing the dishes while someone is still sleeping downstairs then it could become a slight problem. The hottub was a big hit for all, juniors to seniors, everybody enjoyed it! Bangor is only a short 10 to 15 minutes drive away with plenty of stores, even a mall, grocery stores and much more to satisfy everyone's expectations. Thanks Martins and Andrea, we really had a blast!

It was nice to get away! The house was gorgeous! We were bummed that the hot tub was not working! Definitely should if asked if October was considered a winter month!

We enjoyed our stay! This was our first visit to Maine so we didn’t spend as much time at the property as I would have liked. We had an aggressive agenda for the week and found the house to be in a good central location to all of the activities we wanted to pursue. It was approximately an hour from Acadia National Park which has stunning views! We also visited Mt. Katahdin, which was a little over an hour and a half away. Beautiful area - I only wished we had seen moose while we were there. We understand you can’t predict nature though. We then decided to try our luck by hiring a guide to go on a moose safari in the Moosehead Lake region (1 1/2 hrs away). Our guide Steve, from Northwoods Outfitters, was great - we saw 6 moose (1 buck, 1 young adult, 2 cows with two calves), 1 snowshoe hare, 1 garter snake, a couple of chipmunks, and 4 loons ( mom, dad, and 2 babies)! We booked a private tour and it was definitely worth it - highly recommend! At the house, we unfortunately weren’t there enough to view a lot of wildlife. However, David did see his first ever porcupine climbing down a tree one evening - sadly, I missed it. We were also treated to the beautiful sound of loons and owls as we sat by the fire pit at night! The sky was filled with a beautiful display of bright stars as we enjoyed the peaceful serene nights. We also enjoyed the hot Tub! We enjoyed the house and property and wished we had a few more days but we had to get back to reality. I also want to give a special thanks to Andrea for stocking firewood for us to enjoy the fire Pit! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a peaceful serene get-away.

I really enjoyed my time here. It was quiet and clean. Martin was a very nice host and was there when we needed him.
