the masterbed had 2 single matrasses. Instead of one big bed. And the coffeemachine, 🍞 toaster didn t work. No coffee, tea, botlewater or soap. Stuff that are very handfull for your first night.

Place in the north, amazing beaches in the area. Easily reachable and far from the main city, very quiet place. Staff really welcoming, special mention for the handyman Bali.

appartment was big, and with 2 terraces, with nice tables, hamacs etc ... the pool and the builidngs are very charming, the hotel has a very relax vibe. The staff was very helpful when we needed something.

they could provide the options of an extra cleaning + the towels were a bit used. A few more furniture in the room could also be appreciated.

Good restaurant on site.

This room was full of mosquitoes. Despite using mosquito spray and repellent they kept coming in through the roof, no matter how many we killed. Sleepless nights. Walls are covered in stains of dead mosquitoes. The mosquito net was not adequate. The bed was old and rickety and already held up by extra supports. Staff is not always around. We left a day early. Expensive for what you get.

The resort is a very nice site with a lot of caribbean flair. The on site restaurant has a good choice of food. The pool is comfortable despite a bit cold and the balcony is inviting to relax.

We had a suite room with a kitchen inside. The room interior was quite old and worn out, especially the kitchen equipment and the bathroom. There was very less equipment and some stuff e.g. the pans, were so dirty that you simply could not use them. Cooking for yourself is very difficult here. There is no space to put your things in the bathroom, not even a hook, and there is no refill of toilet paper. You are expected to buy your own toilet paper once the inital roll is used up... unluckily the next supermarket is 20 mins drive away. Alltogether the resort is a bit overpriced for what you get compared to other amenities in the area.

The location of the hotel is perfect, you really have a lot of beaches close by, however there is no gas station or supermarket near by, you need transport to get there. The hot al is really nice.

It’s difficult to find help or someone from de hotel around anytime. You always need to contact them in WhatsApp first. It would be nice, taking into account their location, if they were more interested in helping the guests to move around with some tips about the zone, the beaches and stuff.

Rancho el Sobrino is located in a quiet area towards Sabana Westpunt. My apartment was very big, had AC, lots of storage space (a shelf for clothes and hangers) and a deck with an outdoor kitchen (gas cooker), a hammock and a clothesline. Parking was easily available at the back of the resort. The floor of my room was wooden which was really nice. Wifi was also very strong. Staff were very helpful and Baile was always there when you needed him. The dive center (Sublime diving) which is located on the premises of the resort and Cactus Cafe are great as well. Breakfast was plenty, too, and the chef even asked me for personal preferences. The showers had hot water although personally I don't like warm showers when it is hot outside 😅 The shower area was spacious

Some cooking utensils were a bit outdated

the island vibe. That warm exotic Caribbean vibe. And everything was clean and nice. The room was much better and bigger than on the pics. Own kitchen outside as well. Very peaceful location. Excellent WIFI connection overall. Pricewise you’ll get a more than a fair deal you’ll even get more than what you’ve paid for. We had a great time. And Several beautiful beaches nearby as well.

nothing to complain about

Great location, on walking distance from Playa Forti. Nice and quiet appartments with a small kitchen. Atmosphere with the swimming pool and all the colorful buildings made us instantly happy.

The restaurant crew and Balie (manager) where really friendly and helpful! Lovelly pool and great room with comfy bed! I would recommend staying here.

We loved the vibes in Rancho el sobrino. It was pretty quiet, everything there you need and for questions, help or just a nice smalltalk you have bali :-). You can be sure he will do everything to make your stay more comfortable! If you are searching for party and citylife you should stay more central. But if you have a car you should not miss this part of the island! Beaches, restaurants, turtles,... everything is so close and even willemstaad is just half an hour of driving. For the money you pay, rancho el sobrino gives you much more than you need!!!!

The location was amazing, really close (driving) to the best beaches in the Westpunk and on the island. At walking distance from a couple of restaurants where you can witness the best sunsets ever and have really nice meals. The facilities were basic, but good value for money, equipped with a basic kitchen to have a nice and quiet breakfast in the morning.

We may have been really unlucky, but we experienced a lot of noise, screams, and loud voices from some guests partying and drinking at night in the pool just outside of our room. It could have been an unfortunate occurrence, but it was not a great experience. The "party guests" were still drinking and screaming in the morning (8am-ish) at the pool, but no one from the hotel staff did anything to stop them or make up for the excessive nuisance to the other guests.

The apartments are incredible, air con, tv, outdoor kitchen is awesome and fully equipped even with a stove and toaster, large fridge, coffee machine and sink. The restaurant isn't exactly connected as the restaurant works separately, but the food was fantastic and the owners of the restaurant are absolutely incredible and friendly people!! The actually facilities of the complex though include a drive shop, good sized pool with a waterslide for kids, and there's a bbq area too. The "resort" is located 5/10 mins walking distance to the main beaches and restaurants of Sabana Westpunt which have great views of the sunsets, can swim with turtles and also have amazing food.

Can only fault the bed, was hard and didn't have a fitted sheet so was uncomfortable to sleep in. The staff are only there twice a week too, which isn't a massive issue anyway as the apartments literally have everything you need.

Very friendly and helpful stuff (greetings to Balie)! They did everything to make us feel comfortable. It was a clean and a very large room, we had a great balcony view. The bed was very comfortable. The Cactus Cafe, that's downstairs, offers excellent food. Would definitely recommend a stay at Rancho el sobrino.

Personnel very unhelpful

Relaxing and clean pool area. Bali who did 99% of the work in the property was very responsive.

A few things that made the room disappointing: Ants everywhere The floor wasn't clean, lots of dirt and dust Mosquito net full of holes (did get replaced immediately when I mentioned it) My cooker didn't work When I told Bali he solved most of the issues immediately - which is great. But most of these should have been checked and sorted before I checked in.

The place looks so nice and clean and offers anything you might need

Unfortunately their restaurant is managed by other people and it’s not open frequently. It would be great to be able to get food or drinks.

Has the potential to be good but it’s very run down. Pool area is nice! Bali is very helpful

Tv broken on arrival Toaster broken when going to use it Holes in mosquito net, put towel on top to cover them but too late after lots of bites when seeing the holes the next day. Water pressure not good if others showering Lots of ants in bathroom and kitchen. Old wooden door unlike other rooms which lets all the noise in from guests, cars, security having conversations. I would overall say the room and facilities were not ready for checking in. Bali really helpful but if things were checked beforehand he wouldn’t have had to be. Was annoying having to contact him every day for something wrong in the room as not relaxing and ruined holiday feel. The place has potential but is very run down in the rooms and needs investment for basics to work. Restaurant rarely open and only a few hours (didn’t say that on booking) was a big feature for me picking the place so disappointed about this. Also not in the location advertised so had negative impact to my plans in Westpunt.
