Very peaceful and quiet and lovely being by farm animals too! Very chill with lovely views to the hills and mountains!
The angle of the ceiling in the top floor gets quite low. So I needed to take extra care to make sure I didn't hit my head

Location was excellent. Kitchen was good and well maintained.
Door wasn’t good.. and the room wasn’t noise-proof

In a room where you can't move because the bed takes up all the room and you can't even stand on it because the ceiling is low, they put a mat larger than the bed base and the mat gets pushed out. I rented this place for $190 because it said it could sleep two people.
It's the worst

The location was beautiful - waking up on the farm with animals and stunning views all around! Bathroom even had underfloor heating! Very clean throughout.
The pillows and mattress were fine but could have been more comfortable. Also it was all self check in so it would have been nice to see our hosts on arrival and be greeted in case we had any issues and knew who to go to.

干净舒适,卫生间居然有地暖,厨房工具齐全,访客友好,很喜欢
从来就没见过房东,离码头还是有一定距离的,拖着行李不方便,行李重鞋子不适合徒步的就不要选择了

A very old house turned into a hostel.
Good beds, good showers, complete shared kitchen,
And the views are to die for...
The house is a bit noisy, but with considering occupants that is fine...

Location was stunning. A little walk out of Flåm town which was difficult with kids and baggage.
The Hostel is a very old building and the stairs are crazy steep and shallow so wasn’t good for young children.

The location was pretty good. It is a little bit away from the train station but that’s manageable. It is close to the waterfall so that’s a plus. It definitely has character and can be quite charming.
The value for money just wasn’t there. I paid 2400 NOK for 2 nights for a single room that only included the bare minimum. I’m currently staying at another place for less money and the room as more to offer. The room I had in Flåm had one bed , a chair and a nightstand and that was it. I didn’t mind that I had to make the bed myself, but you are expected to do everything yourself, bringing the rubbish outside, as well as the bed linen and sweeping the room. I only saw the staff for check in, i think there were on side until a certain time but as I didn’t need anything I don’t see them.
As a lot of people already pointed out the walls are thin and you can hear everything. The stairs up to my room were also very steep and squeaky.
All those things I wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t for the price. By the way just to correct some reviews on here, towels were 25 NOK extra not 250 NOK. But there were signs up that an additional cleaning fee of 400 NOK would be charged if you didn’t clean up after yourself.

Cottages were cute and clean. ın a cottage, you share the kitchen and bathroom with 3 rooms. one is downstairs next to kitchen, the others upstairs. no shoes in! :) ın the kitchen, they have electrical oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and all the utensils but no coffee, tea or oil. there is a farm around the hostel and lots of cows, goats, pigs. next to kitchen you can watch the animals grazing. great scenery!
far from flam station. matress is too soft, you go deep when you lie on. house keeping staff is not very kind. but receptionist guy is so cute.

It was the cheapest in Flåm for the dates of my stay
The room was beyond basic. The buildings are very old and creaky. Every footstep by fellow guests were heard at every hour. The stairs are steep and uneven. It was lucky that the check in guy offered to carry up my suitcase but unfortunately I had to get it back down myself. Apart from when I checked in I saw no staff present at all.

Beautiful property, clean and modern bathrooms, private bedroom for five people, nice kitchen
A bird or bat got into the hostel and caused a ruckus late at night, expensive towel rentals, issues getting into the hostel (door was locked and we had to call someone to fix it).

The view and landscapes are just amazing. There was a farm nearby with baby goats and baby cows. Hostel is in 10 min walk from the city center.
Walls are very thin. Towels are not included in the price and should be paid additionally at the reception. There was no soap in the bathrooms.

The location really is stunning! The fact it’s surrounded by mountains is insane, and a really wonderful waterfall hike is near by. It’s close enough to the ‘centre’ as needed (maybe 15 min walk) and it means it’s a quieter area as less people come down this way. It had a cute little kitchen too which came in handy, and the shared rooms were very spacious.
The only thing was, when the ‘house’ was full, it only had one bathroom between 7 of us…usually wasn’t a problem just occasionally there was a bit of a queue to use it haha

very clean and clam, supportive staff. The location is awesome very close to railway station.
nothing i feel like to be better than now. only need to keep as such

Lovely location very accesible from the train station by walk. Very clean and comfortable
3.6
Unfortunately so noisy that you hear other people snoring and peeing
We rushed to get there in time for check in, only to find out it was self check-in and we didn't have the key to get in the house, luckily there were other guests that opened the door for us
We had to make and unmake the bed and clean the room before leaving
3.6
Quiet location. Near waterfall.
Check-in no personal contact. Need to look for room number at reception door and call to know where room keys are.
Kitchen stove needs some notice on steps to operate. New guests have to be guided by others using the kitchen. We were taught by one and in turn showed the way to 3 other guests who had difficulty operating the stove.

The property was really clean, we felt like home and it was really nice meeting people!
the only inconvenience I would notice was the fact that there’s not enough bathrooms compare to the number of rooms but for us it was okay because not all the rooms were full!
3.6
Clean and good-sized room with everything you need for cooking. Great views. Out of village and quiet.
A bit far to walk to when snow and ice on ground.

Beautiful location in the Flåm valley, about 15 min walking distance from the port and the train station. The houses are old wooden farmers houses that smell nicely of wood.
Unfortunately, they have huge cleanliness issues, even for lower standards. You have to apply the bed linen yourself, so that I had to have a look at the matress topper. It had huge, disgusting brown stains as well as pee stains on it.
You have to share bathrooms with all the other guests and the otherwise modern and good looking shower had a lot of mold on the wall.
Both issues could have been easily been avoided by buying a new matress cover and clean the mold of the shower tiles.
The hostel had a reception house, but during our whole stay, there was no one we could tell the problems. Check-In was just a list on the hut. This is your room number, keys to the room are in the lock…
You hear everything your neighbors say and do and the rooms are only to reach, by a tiny, slippery and narrow wooden staircase.

Love this hundred home. Very classic so recommanded who love traditional
3.6
it was a quirky wooden house.
It’s quite a long way to walk with a heavy rucksack, and the walk isn’t pleasant. You walk through a stone processing quarry on both sides of the road next to the hostel, which is noisy and creates a cloud of stone dust which I had to walk through. Also the hostel has extreme rules - make sure everything is immaculate before you leave and take all used bedding and towels to another building when you leave, and put the rubbish out, and make sure you have left before 10am or you will be charged 400 Nok! All this made me feel rather uneasy. The accommodation is not cheap, and yet they expect you to do all the cleaning!
