i had to call maintenance 3 times for faulty lights no gas and TV not working. no TV in the bedrooms.

Room was spacious & clean. Perfect Beach location. Choo train stop just opposite the hotel which takes you to the main square of calpe or even up to the beautiful old town.

Beds need updating, they are like sleeping on a rock! WiFi wasn't the best but we weren't to bothered by that. Lacks some basic utilities but we managed with what we had.

We arrived on a public holiday no shops open we had nothing.A starter pack would be helpful.There was only one sheet on the bed we had to request some blankets

Excellent location, right on the beach. Very helpful staff, clean,tidy. Absolutely lived it

very close to the promenade in a nice appartement block. beautiful view of the beach. nice with the two balconies for morning and evening sun. the shower was sort of newly renovated and had good water pressure.

the equipment in the appartment was below par. Considering it is an appartment for 4 to 6 people, there were 2 steak knifes and the rest of the cutlery did not match for even 2 settings, the quality of the cutlery was the cheapest possible as well. The whole equipement of the kitchen was poor, not even a dish brush was there, let alone a dish washer. The mattresses of the beds very very uncocomfortable. everything was old and tired.

24 hrs reception, helpful staff. Cleanliness of all areas. Hand sanitizer at each portal and main entrance. Bedding and towel change after 7 days.

Wi fi was poor. It is now an essential part of travel for booking Taxis, restaurants and downloading forms for Covid travel restrictions which changes from week to week. Also we all like to keep in touch with family and friends and social media interaction is a must. The wi fi at this property is old, both equipment and sign in process rather than reconnect automatically. Wouldn't stop us returning but improvement needed. Also the TV satellite system just never worked. Again old kit.

The view is wonderful.

Wifi didn't work properly

Been staying here couple times if the year for many many years and love it. Every time we pull up here it’s like coming home. Every time we leave we have tears. Bought a place in the old town but it’s not the same as the Esmerelda so we are selling it so we can still stay at Esmerelda mad I know but that how much we love it.

Nothing not to like

The staff are so friendly especially Paco he’s so polite and helpful they are like family to me now

The staff on reception are wonderful and very helpful especially the young man he’s has become somewhat a friend now. We have now purchased our own apartment in Calpe so won’t be staying there again however I have my family booked in for May and also two apartments booked for October as my disabled 88yr old mother is going as it’s her wish to visit Calpe one more time. The facilities for disabled are excellent though if wheelchair user the lifts are tight but you can get a little shopper scooter in easy. If disable book a two bed for more space and front and rear balcony. Sun rises at the back fir breakfast and sets on the front so on the balcony till after 7pm. You won’t regret staying at the Esmerelda Apartments as you are right on the sea front.
