We had a fantastic stay and loved the apartment. It was spotlessly clean, well maintained, and made great effect of the historic building. The grounds are beautiful and attentively cared for, with lots of places to sit and eat. The hot tub is a boon and we spent lots of time in it during the day and on some evenings. Giovanna was around often and bought us lovely produce. It’s a 10 minute walk to the local bar, 15 to the local supermarket, and a more ambitious 45 up the hill through vineyards to a restaurant with views across the valley. Florence is easy on the train from the local station (20 min drive). Other parts of classic central Tuscany and the coast are also accessible by car, and Lucca is only 20 mins. The property was a delight and exceeded our expectations, which were already high with so many good reviews.

It was exceptionally hot weather during our stay which meant the passive measures struggled to keep the apartment cool - but we managed. A second sofa would be good.

Giovanna was very kind and informative. The house, the garden and surroundings are wonderful. We also really enjoyed the jaccuzzi. The gift of olive oil and cake were delicious.

The bed mattresses could be more comfortable.

Giovanna and Franco are great hosts!, very lovely and very accommodating. La chiusa di nanni is a great base to explore Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and some of the tuscany coast (you must have a car).

We've been in apartment Tosca. This is wonderful place and great apartment. Renovated and equipped with much attention. It looks like old Tuscan home and this is wonderful. It is full of old wooden furniture and some antiques. Kitchen equipped with all basic stuff that you might need unless you like food from microwave oven. Hosts are great! Very welcoming and helpful with lot of care. Thank you very much Giovanna!

In general we were very happy with the apartment. Here are just very minor disadvantages. Beds are ok, but could be more comfortable. WiFi was rather poor and slow, sometimes did not work at all. It was quite hot inside the apartment but fans were helpful (air conditioning is not available). But it is worth noticing that during our stay temperatures outside we as high as 38-40 Celsius degrees.
