When I made the reservation on booking.com it did not state there would be a R1000 refundable breakage deposit. This was a huge inconvenience because R1300 was my budget. I was first told I had to be there by 2pm for checkin, I rushed there only to be told by reception that they are there until 5pm. They then ask me for the breakage deposit which took me by surprise as this WAS NOT on my confirmation. So after moaning a little I hand them my card to pay and they insist it has to be cash. I NEVER EVER CARRY CASH. I had to be somewhere at 4pm so the plan was to check in, collect keys and arrive back later. They refused to give me the keys till the breakage deposit was paid, even though the room was paid for. It was pouring with rain and I had to run around trying to find an ATM and get to my meeting and still be back before 5pm to collect keys!

Neat and tidy. Sea view. Safe. Great for short term stay.

Absence of generator during load shedding.

breath taking views. great apartment. didn’t like the 2nd bedroom made the place looked cramp. other than that only a 1 night stay apartment was great. clean and had all the necessary things for self catering.

Staff speaking loudly in the passage around 8am each morning. The self-catering kitchen didn't have dishes/containers with lids to store leftover cooked food in the fridge. The oven is faulty - took forever to cook a roast which ended up being undercooked even after 1.5 hours.

The Lounge Furniture was a little uncomfortable

location is great, staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.

the plug in the main bathroom didn’t work, so I had to use the shower, we also couldn’t use the roof terrace because it was continually soaked - maybe covers on the furniture during the rainy season may help

Amazing view, flatlet was nice but the correspondence sent from Booking.com was different , ie got an email telling me to collect keys from a different site called Aquarius, went there and was told to drive somewhere else to collect the keys. I booked for 4 people the hotel sent a confirmation for 2 people - lots of unnecessary running around.

The location. Amazing views. The quite and senere atmosphere. The unit was clean. The bedding was crisp, the towels clean and soft. Utensils, crockery and the oven were all nice and clean. This was appreciated.

The heated pool was not working. Non EXISTENT. Toilets were filthy in the filthy gym, filthy gym floor, no efforts there. There were stairs to get everywhere.... Steep horrible stairs. To get to all the gates or the pool or anywhere. THE MIRRORS AND WINDOWS COULD BE CLEANER The gate tag given to us didn't work from the word go, we were asked who we were, why we were at the gate at 10pm at night, after I indicated our time of arrival. CLEARLY. We had to buzz and speak to the security guard ALL THE TIME whenever we went out. How, how is there no provision for loadshedding ?????? Not even a candle. No light. Nothing. Upon our vacating the unit I overhead the staff saying they will install an inverter at the unit we occupied. After our stay! Can we address the 'self catering' what should we do with the bin? Where do we empty it? Since no one will come to the unit unless paid. There was no communication at all about nothing. The chatting of the cleaning ladies at the reception desk, their cackling laugh while ogling at the guest, asking where are you from, just ridiculous! For the money we paid, I didn't enjoy nothing about the service here. NOTHING.

The clean apartment

The fact that i have a balcony but I have to walk out in the rain to go and smoke. I don't smoke in my own house but that is why I book apartments with balcony's in order to smoke. This is redicilous that I have to go down from the 3rd floor to smoke outside. What if I was on the 10th floor. I am sick and tired that dogs have more rights than I have.
