The old house is in the heart of the old town. It has it is own atmosphere.

Unfortunately there are a lot of ants in the house: in the kitchen, table, on the walls. They have a lot of paths in the house and moving all time. Even in the perimeter of the front door. So, you will see them in the entrance and in the kitchen. Especially, in the evening time. Also during our stay for 5 days we see two big cockroaches in two different bedrooms. And, as it is the old house it has its own smell, especially in the kitchen area. So, if you are ready for all theese- it will be good stay. If not - it will be disappointing

Mrs Anthoula could not have been nicer or more helpful. Breakfast and fruit were supplied, air conditioning was wonderful and she even left ice cream in the freezer for us when we were out on a particularly hot day. She picked us up at the ferry and kept our bags on our last day. The location was fabulous and the house was spotlessly clean. Could not recommend this place more highly. Would not think of booking anywhere else if returning to Rhodes.

The hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay! We had a number of special requests (it was a family holiday and we arrived from 3 different countries, so for example we had to check in and out at different times). Ms Anthoula picked us up in her car and took us to the apartment, as taxis cannot enter the old town. We arrived to a fridge fully stocked with water and fruit, and things for breakfast. The apartment was much better than what we expected from the pictures, and it was in a very quiet medieval street. It is a really authentic stay for anyone who wants to enjoy the old time vibes (the house itself was built in the 1600s!). A little warning: Rhodes old town is full of streets that are paved in pebbles, so you cannot pull a heavy suitcase or walk in thin soled/high heeled shoes on them easily. (We knew about this before we booked). The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed and more. It can comfortably accommodate 8 people (in 4 rooms with double beds), so we highly recommend it for families or groups of friends. We all found our beds especially comfortable. We would definitely book this stay again! Rhodes City has a lot to offer - we visited some museums, walked around a lot and booked a day trip by boat, all of which we enjoyed greatly. The old town has mostly traditional / touristy restaurants, with the menus more or less the same everywhere. There is an area with high-street shops, cafes and restaurants at the Northern part of the city (outside the city walls) that has more cosmopolitan menus. A lot of the beaches in Rhodes City are pebbly and windy and not within walking distance from the center, but there are some fantastic sandy beaches in quiet bays around the island, easily available via public transportation, on day trips (by boat) or driving. In the city, there is a beach on the Northern part with the Eastern side less windy.
