Secluded scenic setting. Quiet. 10 minute drive to Berchtesgaden. Peaceful in the evening, just sitting on the balcony listening to the cow/goat bells.

Lack of complimentary water in room. Shower room was small and dated. Be aware, that the hotel charges for tap water in the restaurant, even if you have already ordered other drinks off the menu. The charge was €2 per 500ml glass. I was a little unhappy at this given it’s not a cheap hotel and the money we spent during our stay. We did not have this experience in other hotels on our road trip or in the many restaurants we frequented.

The views were absolutely amazing here. As soon as we checked in we went outside and enjoyed. The staff was very accommodating and brought us beverages. The breakfast was also delightful... One of the best European breakfasts we have ever had.

The balcony faced the hotel next store that was under-going construction.. So kind of an eye sore.

It’s close to salzburg and you can drive to konigsee quite easily. The view is nice and the rooms are comfortable.

The place isn’t much of a “spa”. The pool is very small and underground, wasn’t appealing at all. And the dinner closes at 8, and as per Bavarian specialities is quite meat based. I enjoy bratwurst as much as the next person but I think it was fried in old oil or pig fat, so it had a very heady meaty smell to it. The breakfast has the usual spread of musli and so on and the staff accommodated lactose free options when you ask them, but even the eggs that serve had this “meaty smell”.

sauna was not ready but they gave 5 % discount for it. It would be better if the water temperature of the swimming pool is higher.

It won’t justify the beauty of this place by writing here. I would definitely recommend it to everyone to go there and experience it themselves. Everything was very well Managed by the staff, tidy, cosy rooms, and the breakfast was the highlight of the day.

There was nothing, I would complain about.

No heater in the room and too thick duvet. So at night you’d feel cold without the duvet cover but too hot with it.

The location and view were incredible - food was good.

It was way overpriced for what you get. Beds aren’t very comfortable and the rooms were so hot it was miserable we didn’t get a lot of sleep even with the windows open. The balcony view we payed extra for was a disappointment as we overlooked construction next door.

This is an amazing Bavarian hotel - immaculately decorates and with the most beautiful panoramic views of the mountains! The views are from many Balcony rooms, the restaurant and terrace. Wonderful to sit with a drink on the flower filled terrace overlooking the mountains and town. Excellent Friday night steak dinner. We did not stay long enough!
