The location was good and restaurant was nice. Staff were understanding about our concerns with the property and allowed us to cancel the remaining days (with refund) so we could find somewhere more suited to us.

1) Beds were so uncomfortable - far too firm - resulting in severe pain after just one night 2) Rooms we’re so small that you cannot open your suitcase or store it anywhere. 3) pool was freezing and dirty, with leaves and dirt in it.

Overall the service was good and the breakfast was ok. The room was clean.

This is more like BnB and not really a hotel.

Great location, great breakfast, staff all super friendly and helpful, particularly the blonde lady at reception ( didn’t get her name) - we asked for an extra lamp, pillows and an extra fan on arrival which was a tall order in a busy hotel but they were in our room on our return! Food in restaurant delicious - particularly pizzas which were the best we’d had!!

Lovely stay at Maximilian, location is great just a 15 minute walk in to the centre of Bardolino. The hotel is lovely and the pool area is very relaxing. Hotel also offers free bike hire all day/night which is an amazing way to get around the lake. The restaurant was really lovely and appeared to be a very popular spot.

Our room and bathroom was a little bit dated compared to the pictures. Breakfast could be improved, some of the baked good didn’t taste as fresh and few options for vegans.

Location was excellent.

Place was filthy. Room was dark as one window in corner. Cigarette ends and dirt in pool. Glass round pool, litter left for days, pool shower filled with foul green water yuk! Breakfast was poor, hard rolls, flies everywhere and minimal choice. Place was rotten!

Great Pool, beautiful gardens, and great staff!

The room was a complete let down compared to the price and the expectation. Checked in, no bottle water, next day 1 bottle of water for 2 people, definitely not ok. No fridge in the room. Weird setup with the bathroom - no privacy, the door can’t even lock. The breakfast was shockingly average, and the restaurant an absolute let-down. The food was raw, and had zero flavor. No in-house laundry service. This is NOT a hotel, it’s a B&B.

the room had a bad smell, and the wall had a murmur that we couldn’t stop. it was not properly cleaned every day either, but it was decent. the staff was not as helpful as we would expect to the price of the stay. This is more of a two stars hotel rather than three. the breakfast was ok, but they quickly ran out of food before the breakfast was closing. the pool was not cleaned regularly.

The birds, hairdryer did not work

The hotel is located in front of the lake, the restaurant is very good, as well as breakfast. Decorations very particular with ancient bikes and motorbikes, we were really impressed by this hotel. Non in the center of the village, but the center (Bardolino) is very easy to reach, walking on the beautiful promenade on the lake! Try Valpolicella wine while there!

The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were exceptional. The quality, variety of choice and value for money in the restaurant was great. Location is perfect too, just south of Garda and with a fantastic view of the lake.

Wish we could have stayed longer.
