Spotless room, well equipped room, excellent breakfast, great location.

The breakfast was tasty and plentiful and served in the pleasant dining room with seaviews.
The staff were friendly and efficient, with one particularly helpful staff member who went out of her way to print us a walking map - thank you.
The bar is great and serves a very good selection of beers.
The room was smaller than expected with somewhat tired decor. The double bed was quite small and the pillows were uncomfortable. For people who like baths, the bathroom was great, but unfortunately the shower provided no more than something resembling a sea mist. We did inform the staff of this and they did say they'd look into it, which points to good responsiveness.

Great location on the seafront Fabulous view from the large windows in the rooms with the sea views. The room was nicely decorated, warm and spacious , with a good size en-suite bathroom. The breakfast and the food in the restaurant was very good. All the staff are friendly and professional.
The bed’s mattress was far too soft on my side

This hotel is friendly and welcoming. Our room and bed were very comfy and we had a really good shower. Love the sea view and going to sleep to the sounds of the sea.
Parking can be a problem but we were lucky to get a space.

Everything! Huge room, comfy, sofa and armchair, 2 tvs, loads of top quality coffees and tea in room and they had a fridge with fresh milk for drinks which is a massive pro for me as I don't like uht! Great nights sleep, great cooked breakfast and excellent location 👌
Nothing I didn't like but a heads up, there's a hamper in room which you pay for if you use it, I very nearly cracked open the wine before I realised it wasn't free. But then I am awfully common 😁

We had just one night in the Red Lion for our wedding anniversary. Went for the 'better room' and it was smashing. Spotless, large and comfortable. We had a great breakfast (Included) couldn't make it for the evening meal, but the afternoon bar snacks were perfect. All staff friendly and helpful - we WILL be back!

It was perfectly placed and the sea view from our room was amazing. The sound of the sea was relaxing and calming and we spent quite some time just watching the surfers and swimmers enjoying the waves.
The breakfast was also excellent and we shall definitely return.

The breakfast was good and varied and the location was excellent as it was in the centre of town.
Although car parking was available it was rather small and awkward to park. It was also on a first come first have basis.

The room was very hot as above the kitchen even with the fan on. The shower pressure is very poor.

Everything! We had a lovely room, a bath, plentiful tea and coffee options, water in a fridge on the landing and the best hotel vegetarian breakfast ever! The reception and dining room staff were very helpful too.
The small car park was full and free street parking was initially difficult to understand but once we had found the suggested street, it was easy to come and go during our stay.

Evening meal and breakfast was fab , hot and tasty , plenty of choice , great service .
Booked a room with a sea view , lovely to look out and see the beach and pier and hear the waves , comfy ,clean , hot water and heating worked a treat as a bit cool when we visited .
The only thing I would say is the car park is small , when we arrived there was only 1 space left , so would have been a challenge to find somewhere else when busy and not too far away .
