the staff was very friendly and assistive, made an extra effort to answer my questions. and reply to my requests. The location can't get better, a lovely small square just across a beautiful midevil church. the room and bed were huge. the lobby very comfi and stylish. all together a very positive experience.
the room had poor yellow lighting. breakfast was quality in product but a bit dull in options.

Sain, our innkeeper, made our stay in Luz exceptional. She advised us on hikes in the area appropriate to the rainy weather. All were spectacular! Such a cozy place and so friendly and welcoming.

The hotel decor was very traditional to the region, with some beautiful pieces of furniture. The bathroom was modern and very clean.

We discovered there was a three day festival going on in town when we arrived. There was lots of singing, bands playing, and beer stands everywhere in town, including right in front of our room. The owner/receptionist kindly moved us to the apartment upstairs in the back which was very quiet.

Great location, situated in the centre of Luz. Friendly and relaxed staff, nice old building, Room nothing fancy, but clean and simple. The breakast is simply great!
The breakfastroom also serves as a coffeebar\ginbar during the day, which is cozy enough, but in the evening this place was filled with people too, which was a little loud.

The room was really comfortable and relaxing. There is a wine bar also in the evening which is a nice additive. Local restaurants and bars are close by also. Breakfast was very nice also.

Wi-Fi ok, best in lounge vs room. THOUGHT HOTEL WAS IN CENTER OFTOWN, BUTWAS A BLOCK AWAY,. FELT MISLEAD BY AD, NEVERTHELESS, OK NICE TOWN, EASY CAR PARK, MGR/OWNER 5 STAR FOR IMFORMATIVE AND HELP, DIRECTIONS, ETC.
flys all over the place. At breakfast, I counted 7-8 flys on wall while eating. Nevertheless, eating was turned off by flys flying around/on the food and so forth. Suggested screens on the windows and door. Got a no and that they would be gone in 2 weeks. H'mmmmmm.
Flys where everywhere else too. In stores, restaurants, just everywhere.

The pricing was horrendous, got nothing to do with the price I got offered by Booking Com or the room prices shown exposed in the hotel. Paid more than 100 euro /room/night, instead of 80 something.
The first time my hotel price did vary from my booking. price.
Never again.
No comments on Personal and Hygiyene, as no cleaning service was offered

The hotel is just gorgeous and has a lot of character. Both inside and outside, the hotel was very pretty and there was always something nice to catch your eye. The room was very spacious and had some storage as well as a few chairs etc. The breakfast was delightful with lots of choice. The staff were excellent - both very friendly and knowledgable about the area and (thankfully for us, as our French is rubbish) spoke english very well. Parking was not directly within the hotel, but this wasn't too problematic as there was a free carpark very close by, and also a side alley with more parking (which was even better). Very good location - right in town, but not noisy. A short and lovely drive to Gavarnie (which is truly unbelievable and an absolute must for nature lovers). Would highly recommend this place.
The beds were a little hard for me however I solved this by putting the very plush quilt underneath me - so ultimately not a problem. The only other suggestion I'd have is that they needed an extra towel and soap in the separate toilet - the loo and the shower room were separate. Other than that - perfect.

If you are looking for a pretty unpretentious hotel in a square opposite an 11th century church, with mountains behind, wholesome food, bio wines, home made yoghurts and a great base for exploring Gavarnie, Pont d'Espagne, GR10 and Tour de France Pyrenean cycling climbs including the Col du Tourmalet, then look no further. The hotel is run by Sian who's multilingual, a mine of information and super helpful about local routes and places to go.

Old property with loads of character. Great breakfast. Location in the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff
A bit pricey but it's a French tourist resort town in August.
