Location excellent with lake view room; room very large and confortable. Personnel very friendly and kind.

Breakfast was buffet-type . The organisation to park the car was ok on a secured place 500m from the hotel-room 203 was the big with lake view and balcony

The room was large

The beds were very uncomfortable. I had pains in my back the next day. We didn’t even have a glass in the room to drink some water. The street was very noisy so that I couldn’t sleep.

friendly & perfect location

The Intra was perfectly placed on the main shopping area opposite the lake and a short stroll to the ferry terminal for Island hopping. The receptionist Alessandra understood my request perfectly and emailed immediately She arranged for adjacent upgraded rooms for a small fee and gave us a view of the lake at sunrise and sunset. There is a lift in the lovely old building and the rooms were newly refurbished bright and very spacious.(ours could easily have slept 6) and cleaned daily. In fact all staff (24hour) were warm friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh hams cheeses and pastries. Off site parking for our hire car was in a secure car park.

The new beds were pretty firm and the pillows were a little unforgiving.

+ Location is good - as advertised it is right on the passage to the lungolago of Intra. - Be aware, young people party late into the night in the piazza here!

Poorly furnished room, terrible beds and worse bedding, not very clean, tiniest shower I've ever crammed my large frame into, very poor amenities like soap & shampoo, no facial tissues at all, no place to sit down in the room other than on the beds, two superfluous single beds in our room (I had booked a lake-view double, not a quad), bathroom linens literally threadbare, no wash cloths in bathroom, extremely mediocre breakfast by Italian standards... I know it's not their fault that the last hotel I stayed at in Val Gardena was superb and deserved more then the four stars it had. But still the contrast was shocking, and I feel very disappointed with Hotel Intra. Next time we're in Verbania we'll be staying elsewhere...

Friendly staff. Great location in town center next to esplanade and piazza etc

Shower head broke before being used (showered with hose only.) AC didnt work (esp a burden since room was on highest floor under roof and warm). Furniture/appliances are rather dated. Mould in fridge

The location was excellent. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and well maintained. The room had an excellent view of Lake Maggiore. The hotel was located amongst the main restaurant and bar area.

There was no on-site parking, but there was free secure parking 650m away.
