Das 6800 Quadratmeter große Haus befindet sich auf 4 1/2 Hektar Seeseite am Lake Travis in Austin, Texas und bietet Platz für 28 Personen. Die Liegenschaft hat 420 Fuß Wasserfront, die flach zum See ist, so dass Sie direkt hineingehen können. Dies ist keine jener Liegenschaften, die sich hoch oben auf einer Klippe mit nur Seeblick befindet.

Had my bachelor party here and it was amazing. The house is beautiful, with a whole property including a pool and a hot tub. David was fantastic, and was very communicative. David got our group breakfast tacos one morning and tiffs cookies on the last night. Highly recommend!

This property is amazing and so much to do. The property manager was extremely welcoming and accommodating and had great communication. I would highly recommend this property and cannot wait to go back!!

Our family (13 adults and 3 kids) had such an amazing time at Camp Sandy. David was the best host we've ever had and the property is perfect - so much room, so many outdoor and indoor activities, and the house itself was great. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be going back.

Property location was good with access to retail and food trucks. The property is not near water since the lake is low. And we didn't find a path to the water. Great room and kitchen on upper level were wonderful as was the game room in lower level.
Be aware that the pool, which got a lot of use, is away from the property (very short hike) and there is a hill to descend, and the return is a climb up. Then there are steps to the upper level.
Lots of fun things to do both inside and out.
Drawback was the mattresses except for me and my wife who had the master suite (very nice).
Overall, I would recommend this with the understanding that we knew what we had going in. Plus, our 7 grandchildren, ages 3 to 18 were never bored. How do we know? Because they never complained, and they want to do this next year.
P.S. Bring bottled water because the location has well water that is not tasteful.

David was helpful every step of the way. He ensured everyone was comfortable. We ranged in age from 5 years to 76years old. There were activities for everyone. The pool was a huge success. Life jackets, water toys & rafts were all provided (even sunscreen). Corn hole, sand volleyball and so much more. Inside there were games, puzzles and 2 karaoke machines. Again, inside toiletries were available. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We made memories. Thank you, David. We loved Camp Sandy.

Camp Sandy is a great place for a large group! There are plenty of things to do and spread out if needed! We were a group of 27 and never felt crowded at all! David, the owner and manager went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Anytime I would text a question or concern he was right on it, not too many owners take care the way he does! Thanks David for a wonderful time!

It was a wonderful time. The only issue is that the Lake is completley gone, dried to the bone. It didn't stop the fun tho! Cheers, David for a great time.

Staying here was an amazing experience. We were a couple in our 70’s with three adult children who brought their spouses and own children ranging in age from 1 1/2 years to 15. There was something for every age group to enjoy—all the kids fell into bed exhausted every night after playing hard all day. The home, while not fancy, was clean and offered enough space for each family to have space for privacy. It was also incredibly well stocked; more generously than most, not only providing more than enough towels, shampoos, and soaps but also unexpected amenities like ice chests for borrowing, stand mixer in kitchen, lots of suntan lotion, lighter fluid/wood for firepit s’mores night, etc etc. We were actually glad that there was no lakefront because there were so many young nonswimmers, but guests should be aware of possibility. The pool and hot tub were well used and appreciated. David, our host, was the most involved and helpful host we’ve ever had. He met us the first day to walk us through the property, and texted every day to check in and make sure there were no problems. He gave us breakfast burritos on the first morning, and warm cookies on our last, all devoured gratefully by our hordes. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

This is one of the best properties I have stayed on! We had so much to do from playing badminton to playing sand volleyball. I would recommend this property for a great family vacation. It has everything you would need!

If David could host every VRBO property, I would stay in them all. From the initial contact, until the day we left, he was amazing and helpful every step of the way.
It was winter and the lake was down, but that did not stop the fun. There was no lack of entertainment on the property. It was a perfect place for all ages - my 7 siblings, their children, and a few of my nieces and nephew's children, were able come and reunite.
I HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking for a space for your family or group to gather, cook, play, "chill", have some space for free moments to yourself and on top of that, be hosted by the best! Camp Sandy is all that much, much more.

Super host, David, went above and beyond! Amazing hospitality from a personal tour upon check in to special treats during our stay! Fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms with extras! David thought of everything to make our stay comfortable! This home met all of our needs from 6 months to 92 years. The property is amazing! You could easily stay here a week without leaving. We did venture out to recommended restaurants, wineries, hiking trails and enjoyed personal chef, Mike, New Year’s Eve! Absolutely a fantastic experience! David, thank you for sharing your property with us!

Loved the property and the property manager. If there had been water in the lake it would have been even better. Also you will need to have bottled water to drink and cook with in this property which would have been nice to know. Everything else was perfect.

Camp Sandy is nothing short of amazing. The property owner/manager has to be the best I have ever had. They truly take pride in ensuring their guests have a wonderful experience.
The property itself was everything we hoped it would be. We were there for a Bachelor party and never wanted to leave. There was just so much to do. We had an absolute blast. Camp Sandy comes well stocked with all you need for a fun weekend along with very comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.
I would stay here again in a second and I encourage you to as well.

The owners have done a fantastic job making Camp Sandy feel like a private family resort with full amenities. We had 4 families staying there with 6 kids under the age of 4. There was so much space and activities on site that we never wanted to leave. In fact, we canceled some plans one afternoon to spend more time at the pool. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the stay and even treated us with a few Austin staple treats. It was such a lovely surprise! The hospitality was top-notch! We hope to be back some time when the water levels are up so we can enjoy the lake-side perks too.

Camp Sandy is a gem of a place. The gracious owner, David, goes the extra mile to make sure his guests have a wonderful experience. We travel each Labor Day with 6 families and this year's trip landed us at Camp Sandy where we had a wonderful time. David was so welcoming and helpful, and he made sure we had everything we needed (and even surprised us with some amazing treats). The beds were so comfortable that we slept like babies, and the swimming pool was the perfect way to cool off on a hot day. We also enjoyed cooking our meals in the fully stocked kitchen, and we loved eating together at the beautiful dining room table. The beds are comfortable, the swimming pool is sparkling clean, and the kitchen is fully stocked.
There is so much to do, we never once heard "we're bored" from the four teenagers! There are games, swings, a volleyball court, video games, pool, shuffleboard and so much more!
If you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend getaway experience, I highly recommend Camp Sandy. David will make sure you have a wonderful time.

We had a group of 15 guys for my bachelor party. This was the perfect spot. So many great areas to hang out and an abundance of activities. David went above and beyond to help us get settled and surprised us with breakfast delivery our first morning and a delivery of baked goods on another day. Wish I could give higher than 5 stars. David and Emily were extremely accommodating and helpful hosts. I appreciated their overcommunication leading up to the stay. Upon check-in they did an excellent job of running me through the must knows of the VRBO. The property was clean, comfortable, stocked with necessities, and packed with activities to keep a group entertained. The house is located very close to a grocery/restaurant area as well as the lake. Absolutely no complaints, private, quiet, peaceful, and fun! Will be back again for sure.

Lovely home and amazing property (despite the August heat and drought). Had a great time. Owner was great. We had everything we needed. Will return - hopefully with a higher lake level so there is water in the cove. That would make it even better.

We were a group of 16--ages 2-68 from NY, MI, and CA. We love bed the space in the house, the pool and the grounds. We had fun making most meals at the house with plenty of equipment. My son particularly enjoyed using the smoker. We ventured out to the lake, to see the bats and rent boats. We had great communication with Emily and David. We appreciated the treats they sent us.

From initial contact to booking and arrival this transaction has been fantastic. Owner has been top shelf on all aspects of rental. Property is HUGE accommodating everyone comfortably. Rooms were fresh and bright with nice furniture. Great room was incredibly large and allowed for all of us to gather (22 adults and kids). Outdoor area was equally greasy with a large pool and great outdoor kitchen/picnic area. We will definitely rent again!!

We have stayed at many vacation homes, and this has been our favorite by far! Emily and David were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. They are attentive without being intrusive. The property is amazing and exceptionally clean. If you are hesitant to book because of the low lake levels, you won’t even miss it. There is enough room for everyone to spread out and sleep comfortably, and the common spaces are big enough to fit your entire group. We especially appreciated not having to pack linens, cooking supplies, firewood, or chairs. Everything is there that you could possibly need. The property is secluded while still being close enough to town for grocery trips or deliveries. We never had to leave! Thank you David for creating this amazing place and thank you Emily for being so attentive and friendly. We will be back!

This property is always pristine. Everything is clean, everything works, everything is provided. There are so many, many entertainment venues on this property. Even with the low lake we enjoyed the pool, the putting green, the badmitton, the corn hole and also being inside under the air conditioning playing games, suffleboard, pool and cooking and enjoying being together. David is the all time best owner/property manager: he care about this property and the guests who choose to come. Camp Sandy is a jewel!

Camp Sandy was an absolute delight. David was extremely attentive, made sure we had a thorough understanding of the property, and was responsive when we had questions. The house was well-stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies, and if anything was lacking, David made sure we got it. We had ample room for us (a family of 23) and the food between the multiple fridges. We were able to stay cool given the over 100 degree weather this weekend and we also were very excited to make use of the meat smoker for some brisket! While the lake is low because of drought, there is a lovely pool and hot tub - and you can easily drive to a nearby lake entrance to swim or kayak. David went above and beyond to make us welcome, sending treats one day and coming by to bring extra fans and breakfast tacos another. The location is very close to stores and restaurants, but also feels very private and quiet. Both David and Camp Sandy have given our family a lot of happy memories and we would love to return.

Our group of 17 guys stayed at this incredible property for our buddy's bachelor party. Not only was the property incredibly clean, all of the included amenities afforded us endless fun and things to do. David was also an amazing host, was incredibly communicative, and went above and beyond to make our stay smooth, enjoyable, and fun. I immediately felt comfortable booking this location after the promptness of response from David when I inquired about the property. He called me within days of booking to introduce himself and tell me about his property. He sent over a document as well with all points we discussed. The property was amazing. We had an age range of 8 months to 70 years old. Everyone had something to do on the property. Most of the items we brought from home we didn’t end up needing because the house already had it. There were fans outside in many locations on the property that helped us stay cool in these summer temperatures. He had Italian pizza oven for us to make our own pizzas, a smoker to smoke meat, multiple fridges to help store food for our large group, and many more amenities that made our stay there wonderful. You can tell that the layout and whole space has been thought out thoroughly and with attention to detail. He has created a great place for families to meet and spend quaintly time together. David was a phone call away with anything we needed. I am so happy we stayed there.

We had an amazing weekend at Camp Sandy. There is so much to do and having the pool is a really great way to stay cool and entertain the group. Location is also nice with it being a short ride into the city while still having your own privacy. David was an awesome host and exactly what you would hope for in an owner when renting a place, he was knowledgeable of the area and made it easy to check in/out. This was the perfect place for our group of 17 30-somethings on a bachelor party weekend. The pictures of the property don't even do Camp Sandy justice - everyone commented on how remarkable the property is. David is an excellent host, took initiative to bring us a few different items that helped our group out for the weekend without us even asking. I hope to find an occasion to stay at Camp Sandy again!

This was hands down one of the best properties i have visited! Absolutely every possible thing you may need is at the house! Love the pool and hottub! Sand volleyball court was a major hit for our group of 16! Very close to downtown Austin to check out 6th Street and Rainey Street!
Host also had freshly baked cookies delivered while we were staying there!
Gotta go visit Terry Blacks BBQ as well best ive ever had! All in all David and Emily went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time possible!
