A great few days in a beautiful spot. Would have stayed longer if we could.

Beautiful gardens, very helpful hosts, excellent location by the river and short walk into town. Oh and the spa after a big days cycling!

Beautifully situated with charm and elegance. Excellent heating and cooling. Beautiful garden and grounds with the ability to take in flora and fauna situated right on the rivers edge. Just a short walk along a picturesque track into town.

Superb location by a rushing river and the Canyon Walk. Ten minute riverside walk to the lovely township of Bright. The cottages were beautiful, well appointed and warm in a lovely garden setting. Alastair was an excellent host. Couldn't ask for more.

Nothing to criticise

Location was beautiful and cottage was huge, lots of room for the family 😊 Lovely and warm to come home to after a day out at the snow.

Would have liked block out curtains in the main bedroom as our family is sensitive to light.

Merrimeet is exceptional. Alistair and Kellie are lovely hosts and very obliging. Apartment was spacious and well appointed, bed very comfortable - we have travelled extensively and Merrimeet would probably be the cleanest accommodation we have stayed in. Beautiful gardens in a very picturesque setting right by the Ovens river and just a short walk along the river bank into the town.. Even the weather was perfect - three days of 27 degrees, cloudless sky and no wind - amazing! This was our second stay at Merrimeet and we have booked two more getaways already. Bright and Merrimeet - what a top combiination!

Fantastic property, charming cottages located in a beautiful garden. Quiet location adjacent to the famous Canyon walk. Close to the center of Bright, walking distance to shops, cafeterias and restaurants. The cottages are clean and beautifully appointed. They feel like home away from home. Lovely, helpful hosts. Our favourite accommodation in Bright.

The location was superb, close to town with walks available to enjoy the spectacular scenery. We spent the time with 9 relatives & were able to gather in one of the cottages to have together time as well as being in private accommodation when we needed to.

The bbqs could have been cleaner.

Our stay at Merrimeet Cottages was exceptional!! We loved it. The accommodation itself was very clean and very comfortable. The location is outstanding with direct access to the beautiful river from the back of the property. It is located in a quiet part of the village but is a wonderful 5-10 minute stroll along the river to get into town, where lots of food and beverage options are available. Blackbird Cafe, Katsu Take Away, Bright Brewery, and Elm Dining & The Yard were highlights for us.

Great location with a lovely riverside walk into the centre of town. Comfortable, well equipped spacious apartment.

Very comfortable , very well equipped cottage very close to Bright. We had 1 night at the cottage. Far too short. We definitely will be back

Great communication from Alistair re key pickup etc and further contact during our stay to make sure everything was OK. Cottage is in a great location on the river and an easy walk into town, if you want to leave the amazing garden.

A couple more items in the kitchen would just make it a little easier to cook and clean up afterwards, but overall very well equipped.
