There is no lift and the stairs are extremely narrow and steep.

A charming little gem in the middle of the city centre, with a lovely paved square outside with tables and chairs to sit at and watch the passing cyclists and locals. The room was cavernous, unfortunately for me it was right at the top in the loft so required negotiating three flights of narrow steps to get to it, but that isn't a criticism, it is rather typical of the old buildings in beautiful cities like Ghent. The large dormer window in the room did allow for a lovely view and a cool breeze on a balmy summer's evening. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Rather handy with it being a bar/cafe as a nice selection of beers and good coffee was available. Very handy too being able to park my motorcycle directly outside the café on the pavement!

The staffs are friendly and the room is cosy + spacious. It is located just at the outskirt of the tourism region and has connection to many places, even by foot. The price is really good considering that it includes breakfast.
Not really a criticism, but maybe a friendly reminder. As other reviews have mentioned, the stairs are quite narrow and steep. It might not be convenient if you have big luggages or are not comfortable with climbing steep stairs.

The staff were all lovely and helpful, the room had everything I needed, the shower was excellent (I'd stayed in another hotel just before with a bad shower system, and it made me appreciate the one here much more!). Very good WiFi in the room. Everything was clean.
I can't fault any facilities of the room or the staff, but the location is over a busy street and the soundproofing is somewhat non-existent, so there can be a lot of street noise late into the night. Also a mosquito got into the room and ruined my sleep one night, although I noticed one of those plug in repellents was left on the side in the room, which seemed to work the second night. Maybe it would be good to highlight this to guests.

Best bed we have slept in so far on our holidays. We spent 3 nights at the hotel. Breakfast was very good for the price and nice coffee. Great location within walking distance to everything in the old town.
No instant black coffee available in the room. Our fridge didn’t get very cold.

Had to go up to the third floor by narrow stairs and circle with heavy luggage when check in and check out to my room.

It’s very well located; it is a very nice old building and it is very nicely decorated.

The breakfast was lovely and all of the staff were extremely friendly! I would definitely stay here again! I actually thought there was an issue with payment but the staff were very helpful and it turned out to be my mistake!
Please keep in mind if you struggle with stairs, this could be difficult for you as they are very steep to the rooms… but you are rewarded with a great view!
Also if you come in a vehicle, there is no parking!

No heating at all during the night, in the middle of winter. Heating was working in the single radiator during the day, when we briefly stayed in the room after checking in, but was lacking completetely for about 8 hours during the night, when the outside temperature and, consequently, the temperature in the room dropped sharply.
Heating restarted at about 7 am, but it was too late, after one cold, uncomfortable night. No one picked up the phone at night when we wanted to report the lack of heating.

Can’t be helped but was difficult to carry the suitcases up the steep staircase.

very boutique as a hotel, which wasnt obvious from the info on the site.However, this was not any problem as it is right in the middle of a very busy area, center of town. Overnight underground parking was a very short walk away, secure and not too expensive. Quirky little place, situated above a smallish cafe/bar which was nice. Breakfast was good and plentiful
maybe a bit noisy from the worlds noise outside. Very steep interior stairs, which they cannot do anything about. If youre on the top floor, you might need crampons LOL !

Very good and big room. Comfortable and large bed. Nice and modern bathroom. The very central location and the really nice and good restaurant is clear a big plus. Also price is really good. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. The room had also an small balcony, great. I can really recommand this B&B.
