Le personnel toujours attentif, les chambres avec l'attention au détail des architectes d'intérieur, le lieu si paisible qui invite à la méditation, tout est au superlatif.
Rien à améliorer, tout est impeccable.

Absolutely amazing location. The light shows at the abbey and surrounding buildings were absolutely stunning. The small town square in front of the museum entrance looked stunning and offered nice cafés for drinks or a small bite.
Breakfast buffet options were a bit limited, but of high quality. Personally I am never a big fan of carpet in rooms, but it was clean and the room was spacious and we had multiple rooms. All in all we had a great experience.

Disappointed to pay 20 Euro per head for a very average breakfast but amazing breakfast room.
Nothing apart of lack of storage in the room but we were a family of 4!

Amazing to be able to stay on such a historic location. Light show in abbey after dark was exceptional.

It is interesting to explore the abbey at night.
The restaurant is so popular that you cannot easily get reservation for dinner. So they provide a 3 course picnic dinner which was satisfactory but we would have preferred a proper dinner. Our room was comfortable but not as luxurious as perhaps we had hoped.

Lovely space, beautiful design, lovely helpful staff, excellent environment.
The food! No coffee in the room - you have to go downstairs to use a machine which often seemed to be out of order. Impossible to book the hotel restaurant, and very few places open in the village. One restaurant was suggested but no information was provided by the hotel about the menu, and the information on the restaurant website was months out of date. So we got room service. The food was expensive and very poor. Small amounts, limited choice, no communication on how it was delivered or where to find it. We had to ask staff until we found the food. It wasn't worth the money and we were hungry overnight.

we were only there one night but if I’d been longer then I’d have liked an area to have a coffee

simple is the key word with essentials Relaxing and mind stilling Room quiet and comfortable Clean and fine for sleeping Not a room to relax in Better to go into the salon and enjoy the comfort of the sofas The dining area is only for breakfast Nicely located in covered cloisters with a quiet purposeful directive Buffet style and conveniently sorted in to catergories Breakfast is varied but not as a wide choice as per usual hotel maybe But absolutely lovely Be prepared to use reusable glass bottles for water still and sparkling all provided by reception A small amount of toiletries provided Better to have ones own Be prepared to walk from Car Park to reception Luggage collected by gold buggy Umbrellas provide when necessary to walk arounf the grounds Access to abbey superb and Grounds marvellous A selection of picnic baskets available for eating in the refectory Otherwise Village eateries booked for you with recommendations from reception Walking distance so wine a definate must! All very accessible and enjoyable On site cafe and bar separate to hotel Also michelin star restaurant if you book months in advance Souvenir bookshop and ticket office with more information

We had a lovely stay. The staff was amazing. So much to do without even leaving the site. The museum of modern art was quite impressive. The rest of the Abby was fantastic. Delicious breakfast. We had an exceptional stay over all.
The Michelin Starred restaurant was excellent. But the atmosphere was a bit uptight and stuffy for my taste. Also extremely expensive. NO regrets having dinned there. But would not go back a second time.

We absolutely loved the location itself, it is amazing an tranquil with a touch of luxury. Loved the ensuite and all the common areas, people at reception were super helpful and knowledgeable. The abbey was open until mid night and because we visited on the Christmas season the abbey was practically all for us to visit, providing us with a very unique experience.
We were hoping to have a room with a view and they were not able to fulfil this request. The restaurant at the hotel was fully booked for dinner and that was a disappointment also. We would have preferred to have wooden hard floors instead of carpets and regarding comfortability, single beds are a little small even for a small person like my mum.

Beautifully restored buildings, sympathetic to the age but modernised for today’s travellers.
Rather cold everywhere including the bedroom. We seemed to be the only guests. Evening meal in the ‘wine bar’ was pleasant but we had to sit in a chilly room on our own to eat it.

Nice room and superb surroundings with tombs or King's and Queens in the abbeyp
Restaurant was shut - very strange French requirement to shut once a week!

Location - that's why we came i.e. to see the resting places of Eleanor d'Aquitaine, Richard Coeur de Lion, Henry II et Isabelle, wife of John I, the period of history which links France and England, also the regions where we used to live (SE England) and now live (Bearn, SW France).
Restaurant not available. Advertising should say to book very well ahead. La Licorne restaurant a good alternative.
Wine bar - very expensive and no atmosphere.
Room good, but not as special as we thought.
Prefer a shower cubicle to a wet room.
