Very authentic

Our cabaña was right on the ocean, I’ve never experienced such an incredible, private view. Our meals were brought to our outdoor table 3x a day and the dishes were very tasty! Our crew was kind, attentive, and took us on excursions to great snorkeling spots and private islands.
Of course travelers want all the amenities but that is not the case on these islands and we were prepared for that coming in. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by just how nice everything was.

Overall this was a fun weekend because I was traveling with the right woman. She did not complain about the shortcomings of the excursion, experience since this was the first time we visited here. We both focused on the water, beaches, nice, accommodating native peoples. The food offering was OK. You must have reasonable expectations though. We probably had the best functioning cabin on this island, so we took a positive attitude, but really there are simple things that can make this a better experience. The local families and food + bar offerings are very agreeable. Happily, the bugs were not a problem.
Accommodation bathroom is poorly made. Water from shower or rain does not drain properly. Guests just want water to come on without asking for it. Do not bring anything that needs refrigeration. The best way to ventilate is to leave the front door open all night. I would not be concerned about safety, the tourist industry is a major source of income here. I'm disappointed in the condition of the area surrounding the beaches. The community does a better job of keeping the beaches clean, but the garbage from other locations can make it's way into the water = not good!

Vasilios is awesome, great food, beautiful islands
The room light was broken and the toilet had a big window so people can see you (only if you are taller than 1.8 m). Note you can see the other bungalow from the patio, so it's not super private

Accommodation on water and as expected. We were well looked after for three nights- meals were great portions, simple and basic but tasty. Everything was as we expected and enjoyed our stay
Unfortunately the island has significant waste polluting both the beach, shoreline and water. Whilst I could see the local families cleaning their homes I don’t think the island has a system or process to dispose of rubbish/ waste and I can see black garbage bags where rubbish has been collected then washed out to sea with the tide. Visiting other islands this seems to be an issue in San Blas which could and should be addressed before it impacts people wanting to visit the beautiful islands!

The beautiful location, the sound of the ocean, the Veiw, the food, the outstanding service of the staff, the beautiful Guna village, the warmth. The day trips were great and the islands were terrific getaways.
Water supply, toilet use was questionable. We do not think septic fields and human waste is managed well. There are indications of trash everywhere. They do not have a good sanitation system due to the density of people on the small islands.

This experience is beyond words! The service is 5-star in my opinion! We didn't want to leave and truly wished we had at least one more night to enjoy the experience, the people, the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings, the food, the culture, and the reef! I would go back in a heartbeat! Absolutely incredible! I really cannot say enough amazing things about the service!
No complaints!

lovely stay! it was a truly special experience to stay with the kuna people and learn about their history and culture. San Blas is extremely beautiful and it was included to go on daily trips. The hosts were very kind and the food was over expectations. As long as you are fine to live very simple, I recommend this to anyone :)
Nothing! but remember that it is very simple

The surrounding islands are beautiful.
Dirty garbage strewn beaches and water that never seemed to work made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. And watching the locals load their canoe with garbage and then paddle out in front of our cabana and dump it in the ocean was a shock and disappointment.

Beautiful place. Lovely water and view.
Under construction. Water was on only morning and evening. We were not warned of this.. Very much like camping

Ponctual with meals and transport
Well organized
Daily tours
Meals were nice (simple and 3/4 meals were grilled fish)
We paid for a room we only got it on the second night. The first they put us in a more basic room because that was occupied. We realized it later when they changed us to the other room. The first was much smaller poor lighting and the boats docked next to it -noisy

- Beautiful paradise-like place, gorgeous beaches & nature
- Very friendly & caring family & people
- you live in a Guna village, among the locals so it's a very authentic experience
- Great daily excursions (included in the price)
- tasty & fresh food (we literally saw our dinner being fished <3)
Like many people wrote already and like you can see on the photos, it's a very simple accommodation, so don't expect any luxury. The rooms don't get cleaned during your stay e.g.
Also in our hut, the bathroom was very simple and tended to flood a bit when it rained or when one showers. We solved this by asking for a broom and by sweeping daily to get rid of the water.

Going to San Blas was the cherry on top in the end of our trip. The kindness of our hosts was remarkable, the place is beautiful, and although you have to be prepared to have no luxuries, everything was pretty fine for us, the bed was confortable and we had water to wash the salt out of our bodies in the evening. It's a go!
Hard to say... if you are a light sleeper maybe i would advice you to bring some earplugs (the ocean can be...noisy) and a sleep mask :)

Absolutely mesmerizing! The view is so gorgeous
It was a treat to experience the island with the wonderful kuna people. This was a humble & authentic way to emerge into the culture and the way of island living. The resources were limited, but we were prepared and the reviews helped. If you visit the island with the expectation that the people are doing their best to accommodate your modern needs and with the appreciation that this is a truly a unique experience, you have set foot in paradise! I wished I have packed more booze, more small change & playing cards, games. There is no TV.., lol

The staff was wonderful
They are upgrading the facility and we got “caught” in this,so food was brought to our outside space, but it made it difficult to connect to people

A once-in-a-lifetime experience! It was truly incredible living with the Guna people for a few days, this tiny community made us feel right at home. The hut was basic, but we made it our own. Cannot even describe how beautiful the San Blas Islands were, the fact that the excursions were all included and gave us plenty of time to explore other islands was an added bonus. We were a little worried about vegetarian options for food as my friend is vegetarian, however she was given large amounts of food, so no complaints. It was sad when we had to leave!
A word of advice; this is not a luxury stay nor it is intended to be. It's island living in its most simple form. The showers are basic, and you probably won't get the sand and salt out of your hair until you're on the mainland again - but if you're open-minded and just want to experience adventure none of this matters at all. If you'd rather a completely comfortable stay, this might not be for you, although I couldn't recommend it enough.
The one thing that could be improved upon could be the communication pre-check in. I had multiple questions to ask before we arrived, specifically regarding payment and transport to the island, and my main point of contact did not really respond much until the day before. Everything was fine in the end, and I understand it is their way of life, but for better peace of mind it would have been better to have someone who was a little more 'on it' when people send messages regarding questions on how to pay them money.
