GREAT HOTEL! Staff was very friendly and helpful, in particular Ana at the front desk. We were upgraded to a suite on the top floor, and that was incredible. I have never stayed in such a TREMENDOUS hotel space! The balcony that overlooks the beach was just stellar.

I liked the location, the pool, the breakfast and the rooms were clean.

I did find that a number of staff members didn’t speak English. I have stayed here numerous times and found it to stand out a lot on this trip. It was difficult when ordering food in the pool bar.

The property is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Everything there is old and dated. It is fashioned like a 70’s hotel and has not been updated in a long time. The gym has inadequate equipment and no space. The spa is tiny. Breakfast was ok but it is basically setup like a 70’s family all inclusive package.

The whole hotel is dated. It definitely was not a 5 star hotel. More like a 2 star. Not worth the money. There was also an ant infestation in our room and we told the staff about it. They took a look and agreed that we couldn’t sleep there that night. At 2 am we all had to rush out of the room with all of our belongings all the way down to this basement absolutely haunting. They had no other rooms available and put us in an emergency room which had one full bed for three adults. That room was absolutely disgusting: dusty, severely outdated, not clean at all, bed wasn’t made, cob webs all over, and amenities from a museum. The staff made our bed by just putting a top sheet that didn’t even cover the whole mattress and an old quilt as a blanket. There was no mattress cover either so we were basically sleeping on a bare mattress. For the third person they rolled in what looked like an old mini hospital bed. Absolutely horrendous. They were able to give us a new room the next day in the afternoon so we were room hopping for 2 days! They said they would give us a reimbursement but once we checked out on our last day there they suddenly changed their minds and didn’t. They kept making excuses and arguments against it. Absolutely embarrassing on their end. We also weren’t the only ones with ants in our room. Started having a conversation about it during breakfast and many other people shared the same experiences. Never again. Not worth your time and money. Horrible staff. Food was mid. Breakfast was chaotic and very simple not a 5 star buffet. Everything was just not to the standards of a 5 star hotel and money we paid. Carefully read the reviews before booking your stay and be advised. There are better options for better prices in the area. Cons absolutely out way the pros here.

Nothing, everything ia bad.. was a horrible experience and never go back again.

The staff dosing care about the guests, the room wasn’t ready in time to check in. After waiting so long for the room we have found cockroaches in the room. Also my daughter was discriminated by the hotel in the fact that some of the rules just apply to some kids and not the all of them. Family’s spend the money in a 5 start hotel expecting a good experience and then can not enjoy properly.

The ocean view is great and the balconies are huge. The staff is really helpful, the reception desk, the bar, the breakfast room and the pool people. The pool is large, with enough sun loungers and never felt overcrowded. The rooms were quiet (even if my room was on top of the casino, I didn’t hear any noise). Around the hotel, there are plenty restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream shops.

One of the staff came to me asking if I needed help, but implying he was asking whether I was a guest at the hotel. While the staff member was polite and I appreciate they are ensuring the hotel is safe, it was terrible to feel singled out. The hotel could find bias-free processes of accomplishing ensuring guest safety. Wi-Fi could be better. It was impossible to stream from my room, but the Wi-Fi at the lobby is good enough to download episodes.

Great location!Coffee shops,restaurants and shops in front of the hotel,however not noisy.The beach is very close.Stunning view from Sunset bar.Every evening we enjoyed sangria there and staff was kind and friendlly 😊

Breakfast!No variety of cheese,missing olives.For 12 days the food was every morning pretty much the same.The coffee and all variety of coffees was awful! Every time after flushing the toilet in the room was coming noise.The worst quality of toilet paper.Expectation was higher for five stars hotel.Overall disappointing.

The hotel was right on the beach!! The pool was great!! The bellhop was amazing. He took all our luggage and deposited it into our rooms quickly.

The coffee machine was hard to work. Never made a coffee but tried a few times. The safe in one of our rooms did not lock or work. Fábio Fernandes at the desk was cold and not welcoming to the 6 of us who got 2 suites for 6 nights. He also overcharged me for not only an upgrade as the room was too small for 3 but overcharged me again after I told him we didn’t use the minibar as we got drinks at the supermarket. The breakfast was mediocre at best except for the mimosas.

Location

Parking arrangements are ridiculous, calling the gym a gym is a joke, breakfast was mediocre, only two towels in the room, and one bottle of water for two guests. Having just travelled from Dubai, I can say that these people have no idea. I stayed at this hotel 50 years ago. It looks and feels that old.

Hotel is in a fantastic location and is bright and the staff at the desk were welcoming in our request to not have a connecting room. Room service staff were very friendly. Sea view balcony was great and the beach behind the hotel is great for families

Hotel is in DESPERATE need of a redecoration and feels very old and outdated. Staff at the bar refused to give me ice; which seems very strange in a '5 star' hotel on the South Coast of Portugal and did not feel very accommodating. I needed to call room service for ice, who took around 40 minutes to deliver it alongside a couple of Red Bulls. Breakfast staff hovered around the table like vultures cleaning up every glass or plate we put down immediately which was very strange, and the Casino staff gave us so many rules and regulations we ended up leaving. (such as i can't sit at the Slot Machine with my partner) we have been to many larger Casinos and not had this problem. Some of the staff seem like they have worked for the hotel for 30 years and need switching up along with the decor!

The Location.

The price, when we checked for the same period next year, it was half the price we paid.

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location.

Customer service - awful. If I could give this hotel a zero - I would. Most definitely not a five star hotel. Extremely outdated! The air conditioner is older than I can imagine. It’s either too cold, or completely hot and humid just like all the common areas and hallways. It feels like you are walking through a sauna. The breakfast is disorganized, not enough food and extremely poorly kept. Flies, spilled food, all the worst things you can imagine. They advertise “free” onsite parking - false! The on-site parking comes with a fee. The “free” parking is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The “fitness centre” is a TINY room off the spa with 4 pieces of equipment, half of which are out of service. The best part - they knew we were travelling with a toddler and therefore a stroller. They put us in an area of the hotel where there was no elevator. So - every time we left the hotel - we had to carry the stroller up a flight of stairs and then back down a flight of stairs. I have stayed at many many hotels in my lifetime A none have been as bad as this one.
