I have been to the hotel a few times now and it never disappoints. The staff are amazing throughout the hotel . The service is faultless . We particularly loved the mixology class with Costas - we learned so much and was great fun . As it was Easter , we were given an Easter cake which was waiting on us in our room one of the days . A lovely touch . Thank you .

Das Hotel ist architektonisch sehr schön, die Aussenanlage wunderschön, ein kleines Paradies. Das Gym und der Spa sind bestens ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel ausgestattet und waren sehr sauber. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich! Die Bewertung von 7 kommt NUR durch den Lärm zustande- siehe Negativbewertungen!

Am meisten hat uns gestört dass man die Balkontüren nicht öffnen kann, da es im gesamten Aussenbereich extrem laut von Generatoren brummt. Diese hört man leider von jedem Zimmer sehr stark. Wir haben das Zimmer nach der ersten Nacht gewechselt aber es gab kaum Veränderung. Man hört sie leider auch wenn man beim Frühstück im Aussenbereich sitzt oder im Loungebereich. Das Problem ist nicht nur uns aufgefallen, es ist unüberhörbar. Schade, denn sonst wäre es perfekt ruhig in der Umgebung. Es war leider nur ein Restaurant geöffnet ( Mitte März) obwohl das Hotel angeblich voll war. Es gab nur Buffet, daher haben wir es nicht besucht. Die Teppiche auf den Gängen haben große Flecken, gehören dringend gereinigt. Im Badezimmer gibt es keine Steckdose, man muss sich daher auf der Toilette fönen oder mitten im Zimmer. Das Spa schliesst um 19 Uhr, was schade ist, da gerade in den Monaten wo es am Abend kälter wird , es sehr angenehm wäre.

Domes Lake is a beautiful hotel resort set in a tranquil garden. With the lake, sea and Marina a stone throw away. Perfect location. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Having a beautiful spa on the premises was fantastic especially when it was cooler. The food was gastronomical. One of the outdoor pools was heated to 25 degrees C. We made use of the tennis court, complementary bicycles, table tennis, pool table, gym and spa. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the wine tasting by Xeno was the best I have experienced. Todos Restuarant was brilliant - thanks Chef for treating us.

The staff of the hotel were great, providing all details and solving our requests. It's ideal to stay with family, we got 2 big rooms for 4 + 1 baby and in the room was the mini-bar inclusive and other special offerts related with the kind of room. The lake was ideal to do some kayak with childrem and observe the nature. There're also a train that leave you in the beach if you want (10AM and 2PM).

Everything was exceptional. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Dinner & Breakfast were really good, both in terms of options and taste. We were in January, and were pleasantly surprised to find one of their outdoor pool having warm water; wasted no time jumping into it. Very warm reception. They even accommodated my request to surprise my wife on her birthday with a cake and champagne, that was a very nice gesture. Overall a very memorable stay.

Gesamtanlage, besonders der gepflegte, weitläufige Garten mit See, ist sehr ansprechend und großzügig gestaltet. Die Nähe zum Ort Vilamoura ermöglicht Besuch ohne Auto. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Positiv: kostenlose Parkgarage, geheizter Außenpool, Nähe zum Strand, ruhige Lage, schöne Zimmer mit genügend Stauraum, reichhaltige Auswahl beim Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet mit frisch zubereiteten Speisen, Reservierung im Wellnessbereich verhindert Überfüllung und garantiert genügend Platz

An Silvester waren trotz gebuchter und im Voraus bezahlter Halbpension nur entweder die Teilnahme am Silvester-Gala-Dinner (Aufpreis 230 Euro pro Person) oder am Silvester-Buffet (Aufpreis 80 Euro pro Person) möglich. Sonst gab es nur eine Vergütung der Halbpension (50 Euro für 2 Personen) und kein Abendessen. (Das ist uns an Silvester noch in keinem 4- oder 5-Stern-Hotel passiert. Es gab immer eine Essensalternative.) Keine Trennung von Paaren ohne Kinder von Familien mit (kleinen) Kindern beim Essen: Das ist wegen des Geräuschpegels in einem 5-Stern-Hotel unbedingt notwendig! Beim Frühstücksbuffet fehlte die Kühlung von Schinken und Käse, die sahen nicht sehr gut (angetrocknet) aus. Das sehr übersichtliche 3-Gänge-Menü im Restaurant Topos ist bei Halbpension in dieser Form keine Alternative zum Abendbuffet, das am letzten Tag wegen geringerer Belegung nicht mehr angeboten wurde. Die Weine und Getränke sind teuer, für 6-Euro-Weine zahlt man zwischen 30 und 40 Euro, der Aperol Sprizz für 12 Euro war sehr "dünn". Auf den Tischen fehlen Tischtücher oder Stoffsets und Stoffservietten, beim Buffet gab es nur Papiersets, im Restaurant Topos gar keine Unterlage. Im Wellnessbereich funktionierten 2 von 3 Saunen/Dampfbad nicht. Das Jacuzzi ist eine Fehlkonstruktion, schlecht zum Sitzen oder Liegen, Mosaikfliesen fallen überall ab. Manchmal fehlten nach der Zimmerreinigung Handtücher oder Bademantel und mussten extra angefordert werden.

Stunning resort, amazing location by the marina and lots of space. I visited out of season so it was quiet but I imagine even in the summer it doesn’t feel too crowded. Rooms very luxurious, breakfast lovely and fresh. Arrangement of the bedroom- having the toilet separate to the bathroom is a genius idea.

Diffuser smell in reception was quite strong, and it would be good to note which water in the rooms is complimentary vs which is paid for. The water spa had quite a few jets that didn’t work, as well as one of the steam rooms which was rather disappointing. It’s also a bit of a walk from inside the hotel to the beach or marina itself- simply because the grounds are so vast. Not a negative just good to know!

No Adult only zones were clearly marked . This would would have been appreciated. Breakfast on 1/9/23 was very noisy & uncomfortable. Families are also more comfortable away from adult couples in a family zone .

The rooms were very modern and the bar area was very relaxing and nicely furnished. The cocktails on offer were excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were excellent and really did everything to make our stay memorable and enjoyable.

The coffee at breakfast wasn't up to the standard of a 5 star hotel, but that's being picky. There was a queue to go into the breakfast room after 9am in the morning, but we were there during a busy period.

Breakfast: - Wide variety of things to choose from. Fresh, hot, cold. It all was there and delicious. Room: - Nice setup. - Comfy bed even though it was two twins pushed together. - Toilet was nice and had a bidet. - Big tub. Pools: - Were nice enough. Restaurant on the beach: - Food and drinks that actually arrived to our table were delicious. Had one guy there that did help us with our order, but only after it had gone quite wrong. Restrooms by lobby bar: - Ran out of room in the negative text section, was using toilets on way to breakfast at 8.30am and toilets weren't clean in two of the stalls. Only did this one day, so can't be sure if one off or recurring, but still disappointing.

Room: - Flooring in room uncomfortable to walk on. - Complimentary wine bottle wouldn't open and cork fell apart without us getting any wine out of it. - Squeaky doors to wardrobe space - was introduced to the room by a front desk attendant and was shown the mini bar and fridge behind one of the wardrobe doors and it emitted a painfully loud squeak that she even winced at but never bothered to try and fix it. - There's no shower head in bath tub, so you need to get out of the tub and move to the shower to rinse off. Pools: - Not deeper than 4 feet. - Sandy beach pool is only sand to about 2 feet deep, then changes to a rather rough pool bottom that I ended up wearing flip flops while in the pool because it hurt my feet that much from the pool bottoms (all three had this same issue) - The hotel itself wasn't compliant with their own pool policy (no toys or floats) so couldn't enjoy any of the pools without floats and children's toys being thrown at you or bumping into you. Service: - English speaking staff was intermittent at best. Advice: bring your phone and google translate with you just to ask for some ice water in 36 degree heat and not have it show up. - Prepare to ask multiple times for the same thing from different people because they tend to not deliver. This occurred at check-in, breakfast, and poolside, but also at one of the hotel restaurants (the one on the beach). Restaurant on the beach: - Painfully expensive for what you get, if you manage to get all of the food you ordered delivered to you. - Again, English speakers here was a bit of a miss, didn't get our starter, finally got our main 1.5 hours into the dinner, asked where our starter was and they concluded the starter order was never entered in their system and asked us if we wanted it alongside our meal, or after it. No sign of original staff member after this until we asked someone else to give us our bill so we could escape and go somewhere else entirely.

We traveled as a group of 5 friends, two couples and myself. We all booked the same category and paid the same price for the rooms except for them as couples they shared a room while I had my own I was given a horrible room which was next to the kids area, while my other friends were given different categories, which had bigger space, balcony, and one of them even was a suite. I informed the hotel that we are paid the same price and I was expecting to get a similar category. However, they told me they are out of rooms. This made my experience unpleasant.  This is of course, including  a low level of cleaning, where the housekeeping did not even remove the trash and give me plastic bags to put my own trash. Furthermore, there were many moths in the room. The only reason I could find for such treatment was the discrimination based on the passport as I had as different passport than the other two couple.

Every night one has difficulties in sleeping in a quiet environment (but promoted as such !) because there is this disco/ restaurant with absurd loud music until the very early morning hours. Makes no sense. So, for those who wish to have a relaxing vacation this is not a recommendable hotel / resort to stay in.
