great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. good food and we even managed to use the pool in October!

Impressive historical building with lots of character, set in a good location with good access to major road network, good pool facilities. All staff were helpful and approachable, rooms were clean and comfortable.

Incredible property. Felt privileged to stay there. The room was well appointed.

The location was a little outside of town - I had to take a taxi the next morning back into town to catch the boat up the river - but not a big deal. I also wish the kitchen was open but since there was only one other guest in the 60 room property I could understand why it was closed.😊

We liked the historic house and the large room which was very warm (in January) and comfortable, although a bit of artwork on the wall might improve the ambience

This was January at the height of Omicron. Accordingly the hotel was almost empty and the bar and restaurant were closed - so the lack of atmosphere was no doubt unusual here!

The historic building is beautiful.

There were some cleaning issues with the bedroom: used tea cup when we arrived, somebody else's hair in the bed linen, leaving used cups after cleaning the room, and not exchanging the towels. The breakfast was very poor and most striking was not serving fresh bread, in a location where the bread is amazing. Although it is presented as a 4 star, it doesn't live up to it.

Room was huge and very well serviced. Reception staff were really helpful.

The formal restaurant felt cold and unwelcoming. Lighting was very bright and could be adjusted to create a warmer atmosphere. Food was fine but the menu is limited.

Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing.

Great location, great staff and lovely outdoor patio area where we received terrific service.
