The hotel has probably seen better days, but to be fair we were there on a very cold snowy day and could not enjoy the grounds. Our room was cold although the beds were warm.

Being awakened at 5:30 in the morning by voices having a loud argument downstairs. Plus the room, spacious as it was, refused to warm up to a comfortable level.

For me it was acceptable, but the place is quite shabby

Then she sighed & said 'Ok then what do you want?' in an extremely rude way. She was asleep & I had to ring the bell by the way. Not professional at all & not acceptable. I had breakfast in another hotel's 'salon de thé' in the city centre. They welcomed me with open arms.

Our family room was very big, with a balcony.

The hotel has kind of old fashioned charm, not for everyone but I liked it.

House and rooms are in desolate condition, poorly cleaned, bed seem to be used before w/o changing textile, towel only after asking, and in terrible condition

The place is a beautiful old house with its old furniture and style. It is very cozy and I feel like in an old movie. Everything here works slowly, breakfast is basically prepared on the moment and consists on bread with different spreads, a piece of local cheese and coffee. It does not follow modern standards of hotel service but I find that to be part of the charm. One must not expect a hotel in the traditional sense of the word, this is more like an inn in a Lord of the rings movie.

Fortunately I know a bit of French and after living in France for a few months I managed to understand most things and ask for stuff, otherwise it would have been impossible.

Garden, near city

Looks nice from outside. I made a reservation and it was a mistake. Old woman at reception super unpolite. Also it was impossible to get a key to front door, so going outside is a risk how to get back inside. Promised breakfast (9€) was not available, as well as wifi did not work. Bathroom was so far-our dirty it was a heath problem to get a shower. This "hotel" is clearly a no-go-zone. The price was more than booking.com promised.
