Unit was fantastic with great views. The lack of air conditioning and/or floor or ceiling fans was a slight inconvenience and would be a great improvement to the unit for summer months but overall not too much of an issue. We were not prepared for the summer issues of the region of flies/bugs which were prevalent in the unit.

We loved the chalet. Big kitchen well stocked with cooking gear. Beyond wonderful patio view and great location. We appreciated having the property manager stop by and give us tips on the area.

What a wonderful week we spent here! The property was clean, well equipped and spacious enough for 5 adults and 2 kids to play around. You can enjoy a magnificent view from the terrace where it is large enough to have dinner outside, enjoy BBQ and watch beautiful stars at night. The house is settled in a peaceful, quiet environment. Doing yoga at the terrace with the view of mountains with fresh air was just amazing. We ran out of hot water when we filled the bath tub, but it was totally fine if we took turns for shower on morning and evening. You will find everything you need in a kitchen, and there are plenty of brochures and magazines in the living room. The host is excellent and very caring. Overall, we had an excellent stay here and will recommend this place to all!

Our family of 6 enjoyed a week vacation in this beautiful appointed apartment perfectly situated in Grindelwald. We walked or took the highly functional transit system all across the neighboring peaks. Diarmuid is a very responsive host. The property is spacious and clean with a beautiful terrrace. We would go again!

We just finished a week at Apartment Bielholz and could not have imagined a better experience. The apartment was clean, spacious, well located and nicer than the photos show. Kitchen is extremely well equipped and allowed us to cook a few meals rather than head back to town after long days in the mountains. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood and the view from the patio is incredible. Even though you are only a few steps from the local bus line, we walked to the train station most of the time. Diarmud was very timely, thorough and helpful in all of our interactions. Would definitely recommend a stay at Apartment Bielholz.

The apartment was excellent. Excellent location with bus service. Excellent facilities, particularly the fully-equipped kitchen. Excellent bathrooms. Excellent storage. Excellent views. Manager was friendly and answered all our questions. We also met the owner who was very friendly. Thinking of going back in the summer.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bielholz. As everyone mentions the view is just stunning.. and it is.. but the apartment itself is also very nice. Comfortable furniture and very comfortable bedding. We ate dinner out many night in Grindelwald but couldn't wait to get back to the apartment for sunset… it was better than any view in town! It is also a great location for your adventure weekend in the BO area. Everything you could want to do is within a few minute drive. D was extremely helpful as well and would answer any questions we had very quickly. We hope to make it back again some time in the near future! Thank you for everything!! Life is good.

We absolutely loved our stay at apt Bielholz! The view of the Eiger from the main living room and from the spectacular patio was like nothing we have ever seen. The apt was spacious, quiet, very comfortable and an easy 5 minute drive from downtown Grindelwald. The kitchen was so well equipped that you would never need to eat out. Diarmaid couldn't have been more helpful upon our arrival which made for a great stay. We have stayed in many mountain communities in the States but nothing beats this area. Truly spectacular. We can't wait to come back!

We have rent this appartement for the third time. It is spacious, clean, all we needed during our stay was available, well located (a two minutes walk from the skibusstop, a 10-15 minutes walk to the center of Grindelwald), amazing views on the Wetterhorn, Eiger, Mannlichen), the letter DIarmuid gives you good service and is always available if needed. I recommend this appartment to you (exept for two weeks at the end December/beginning January because I hope to stay there again).

We stayes at the chalet for 4 days and had the best time ever here! It was very clean, had excellent view of the Alps from the large Alps facing balcony. Heated water at all times,showers were excellent. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. Super fast WiFi and flat screen TV. Beds, mattress , towels and soft warm comforters..it was more like a 7 star hotel stay with comforts of a home. we also had our own parking garage and laundry room. I didn't want to leave but had to come home to phoenix!! The apartment also had numerous information pamplets for ski rental and places to visit. Although we had rented a car to travel in switzerland, the station was only 8-10 minutes walk from the Chalet. I absolutely loved it. Mr D and Pascal were both wonderful and I would recommend my friends and family to stay here on their visit in future.

...verbrachten wir in dieser Ferienwohnung. Wir reisten mit zwei kleinen Kindern und vier Erwachsenen. Die Wohnung ist außerordentlich großzügig, so dass sie für unseren Aufenthalt perfekt war. Das große Schlafzimmer mit angrenzendem Bad bietet einen wunderschönen Bergblick. Eines der kleineren Schlafzimmer bietet einen seitlichen Blick auf die Berge. Das dritte Schlafzimmer hat leider keinen Ausblick (Blick auf den Weg, der zu den oberen Wohnungen führt), da sich die Fenster auf der rückwärtigen Seite des Hauses befinden. Das Zimmer ist deshalb auch tagsüber dunkler, was uns allerdings aufgrund des täglichen Mittagsschlafes der Kinder entgegenkam. Alle Zimmer sind geschmackvoll und gemütlich ausgestattet. Die Ausstattung ist zudem sehr hochwertig. Die Matratzen waren sehr gut, die Türen schlossen leise und dicht, die Wohnung ist nicht hellhörig, alle Möbel befanden sich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Jedes Zimmer verfügt über große Einbauschränke mit vielen Ablageflächen. Wir reisten mit Weihnachtsbaum und Fondue-Set an, was jedoch nicht erforderlich war. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich vorstellen kann. Wenn man will, kann man auch mit Gas kochen. Darüber hinaus ist eine gesonderte Gasflamme vorhanden, wenn man mit einem Wok kochen möchte. Auch Geschirr und Besteck sowie Gläser sind in großer Anzahl vorhanden. Ein aufklappbarer Weihnachtsbaum sowie ein Hochstuhl für Kinder waren auch vorhanden. Von der Terrasse und dem Wohnzimmer hatten wir einen traumhaften Blick auf die Eigernordwand und aufs Dorf, da sich die Wohnung etwas oberhalb von Grindelwald befindet. Auch vom Küchenfenster aus kann man die Berge sehen. Mit der Gästekarte kann man den Bus gratis nutzen, so dass ein Auto nicht unbedingt erforderlich ist. Zu Fuß beträgt der Weg ca. 15 Minuten. Wir benutzten jedoch nur PKW und Bus. Die Bilder geben genau den Zustand wieder, den Sie vorfinden. Im Keller der Wohnung befinden sich Waschmaschine und Trockner, die man gratis nutzen kann. Wir können die Wohnung ohne Einschränkungen empfehlen und würden sicherlich jedes Jahr wiederkommen, wenn der Mietpreis etwas günstiger wäre.

This Grindelwald Chalet Apartment exceeded all of our expectations. The basement includes two covered parking spaces and a laundry room. The Apartment covers the whole of the first floor of the Chalet and has a huge terrace. The kitchen is nothing short of luxurious, the living area and master bedroom are huge. The description of the Chalet in the listing is accurate and the local Apartment Manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is above the main village (15 min walk or an hourly free bus) and looks over the valley straight onto the Eiger, which rises high above the eyeline, as, in Grindelwald, you are so close to the high mountains. The Jungfrau region is simply stunning and we were lucky to have 5 cloudless days during our stay. We tackled the Eigernordwand path from Eigergletcher to Alpiglen (a must for the keen walker), the Faulhorn from Schynige Platte (not for the fainthearted - this is a big walk), and had two relaxing days on the two lakes (either side of Interlaken). You don't have travel far to start your day out, just set off from the Chalet on foot and head up to Bussalp, Bort or Waldspitz. However, to get to the highest views, take the Post Bus, Train or Cable Cars and start your walk from there. The swimming pool in the village was great and nearly empty at the end of the day, with diving boards and a water slide. There's also an ice rink in the sports centre, where beginners can take their first steps, or (a must), go and watch the local team play ice hockey. We could write so much more, there is so much to see and so many walks to explore.

This is a beautiful apartment in Grindelwald, with superb views of the mountains. We had a car with us, & hence found the property easy to access, & in a very convenient location, & there were two covered parking spaces. The apartment itself is fantastic, covers the whole of the first floor of the chalet, is of really good size, with a huge patio, & with a pleasing & modern decor. Grindelwald is really stunning, with superb views of the Eiger North wall, & we were lucky to have wonderfully clear & sunny weather for all of the 7 days. We travelled with my mother, & a 2.5 year old kid, & we found the apartment to be very well appointed & convenient. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a really nice & spacious living room, & fair sized rooms & huge bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay, & would certainly recommend this apartment to visitors to Grindelwald, looking for self catering apartments. The kitchen had all conveniences which would be required. No complaints. Perfect Holiday.

The property was presented in an excellent condition. It was very well equipped and comfortable. The rooms are large and all the furnishings were very comfortable. The inclusive wi-fi was very effective, even with five of us simultaneously using it. The manager of the apartment arranged to visit us and was very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent with lovely views from the terrace. It is also conveniently located close to a bus stop for the hourly bus service into Grindelwald where you can then travel around the local area by bus, train or cable car. There are two small supermarkets in Grindelwald (5 minutes by bus or 20 mins on foot) and there is also a small shop about 5 mins away up the hill. We used the local bus into Grindelwald which was free with our inclusive visitor card. We also bought a 3-day Jungfraujoch VIP ticket. This is quite expensive but gives free travel for 3 days to most of the best sights/ mountain tops. Many of these cannot be accessed by any other means. I would recommend this apartment for a quiet relaxing holiday or as a base to travel further afield.

A very smart and stylish apartment , that has everything . Very quiet location 10 mins walk in to town , very well equipped in every way , very spacious , will most definitely stay again some time in the next year or so !!
