We enjoyed our stay here very much. The apartment was well equipped, clean and bigger than expected. The location of the apartment is central in Schierke. Everything can be reached by foot: restaurants, supermarket, tourist attractions. We came here specifically to hike, and not once did we have to use our car to drive to specific starting locations. A lot of great locations including the Brocken and Wurmberg can be hiked to directly from the apartment as they are in relative close proximity. The host was also very friendly and helpful. Picking up the keys was quick and easy. All in all a very pleasant place to stay if you want to discover the Harz region. If we make another trip to the Harz region, we will definitely be staying here again.

Two minor things that bugged us (but don't really matter in the grand scheme of things). 1. There were no beer glasses in the apartment. 2. The wifi seemed to have restrictions applied. We wanted to play a game on our laptop in the evening, but the wifi connection blocked this. It also blocked my work VPN for some reason. I don't know why.
