This was the best 3 day vacation I’ve ever had. Close to the beach/water/pavilion area, grocery store, restaurants, etc. The house was so cute and very clean. I had no issues at all. I would definitely rent this property again in the future.

House is super cute & clean! Well appointed & accurately depicted. Hosts truly though of everything guests might need. Great fenced yard that our dog & her humans enjoyed! Quaint little community with wonderful walking areas along the bay & in pretty little parks. Friendly folks too. Would like to visit again!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Margerum Manor. Everything was ready and the place was clean and as described. The yard is spacious. I caught 7 redfish at a place Dale recommended for wade fishing, so that was outstanding. Palacios is a fisherman's delight, but we also had a good time driving to nearby towns and Matagorda Beach. Recommended!

Wonderful small home with all amenities. Dale is your host and he’s extremely easy to work with. Wonderful walking path along the bay, used it daily. People are very friendly with nice churches.

We were there for fishing, the property was perfect. Close to Boat Ramps, Bait shops and perfect set up for fish cleaning. Also had plenty of parking for our Boat/trailer.The property is very clean and cozy. Dale was excellent at making sure we were comfortable

We rented this house for my birthday came down there we had seen pictures online but it didn’t do the house justice and a man that owns it was in constant contact whenever I sent him a text or email so I was so happy about that and can’t wait to go again would highly highly recommend

Dale was great. He was accessible and helpful in every respect and we very much enjoyed our stay. The bed was quite comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We travel with our small dog (a 5 pound Maltese) and she loved the fenced yard. The location is just a short drive from the Palacios Pier and not far from downtown or the retail stores on 35. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Absolutely perfect in location, privacy, large yard for pups, clean house/property. Finding a rental that allows pets is hard to find and we were extremely happy with wonderful yard for our pups. Our host, Dale, is thoughtful and thorough in instructions and extremely generous in amenities. Will be back for a repeat visit but hopefully it won't be raining every day.

Dale has set this little cabin up nicely for a little getaway or a fishing trip. Simple, comfortable, and just what you need.

Very clean rental with abundant kitchen supplies. Quiet neighborhood with a great fenced yard which our dog really enjoyed. Dale was great to work with if we had any questions.

Palicios was our perfect home and Dale provided the perfect place for rest and relaxation. Our home had everything we needed plus more! Dale was very accommodating and easy to communicate with his friendly attitude. Fishing cleaning station was excellent as we caught lots of fish. Security was top notch. The people of Palicios were so friendly. It is a beautiful place in Texas.

Clean cosy and relaxing this little house was a great get away and had a fenced yard for my dogs. Not too far from 2 great beaches on either side of you in this location. It's not a touristy location but that's what we wanted. Thanks again to our great host!

Cute house, has all the amenities. Very nice location. We loved seeing all the beautiful birds in migration. Make sure you love a very soft bed.

We had a wonderful weekend staying in this beautifully landscaped cabin. The lot is large with heirloom paper shell pecan trees. Very well secured for pets. It had one of the best stocked kitchens in all of our VRBO reservations. The host was accessible at all times and quick to respond to any questions we might’ve had. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The community Is rich in history and the historical downtown has been beautifully refurbished. The ocean is only a few blocks away and the city has spent considerable amounts of thought in making This area family friendly with many public access areas that include and encourage get-togethers. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book this property again. If we had any critique, It would be to add curtains in the living area as this also doubles for a sleeping accommodation and it is very bright in the morning. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been if Dale had chosen to leave the keys to his boat… Maybe next time.

Great place to stay.

I wish I could give Dale ten stars for communication! And the attention to detail was amazing - so many thoughtful touches. Our dogs were very comfortable here, and our 6 month old liked looking at all the shells and fishy-decor. We can’t wait to come back!

Dale, Thank you for your hospitality in allowing us to rent your home. You gave us full use of all your fishing gear. You even gave us some fishing spots to try. And they panned out. Oyster lake was by far the best place. We saw a dolphin and even hooked a black tip shark. Unfortunately it was to big to get in and severed the line. Next time we come down to rent your house we will definitely be prepared with a shark set up. It's a small quiet town and we really enjoyed it. You have a big yard for the dogs to roam which is good. Since we have a pretty big dog. I would recommend this place to any family of 5. With the futon and the chair and ottoman both folding out In the living room 3 kids could easily have plenty of room. Please take my advice and rent this place if your heading to Palacious. The cost is not high and the guidance from the owner himself and not some management group is amazing. Thanks again Dale. We will talk to you next year !

Needed weekend getaway and could not have picked better place. Cute clean house in great location. You feel like you are home. Huge yard for fur babies or yard activities. Will definately book again .

Dale was a very informative host on tips for fishing, eating, and any info needed. Me and my family enjoyed the house. We caught several variety of fish stingrays,black drum, gafftop,red fish,eel, speckle trout, flounder and two bonnet sharks . My brother that likes to Kayak caught the trout and flounder out in his kayak. Grassy point is a really good place to get bait. Grocery store right down the street to pick up snacks and goodies. I will recommend this place to friends especially one's that ask me to report back ! Thanks again Dale ! Howard Duane and family !

Had a great time at dales property. House was very neat. A lot of fishing decorations that were pretty cool. And my chocolate lab had a blast with the big yard.

No tourist - check! Low key - check! Lots of fishing - check! We caught flounder, trout, red fish and 3 sting wray! We just wanted a quiet place for family time fishing and beaching! Hardly anyone on the beaches! This house was perfect for us, small but just right. The yard is awesome and secure for your pets. We didn't worry at all leaving them. It is a 5 minute drive to the pavilion, jetty and pier. If your looking for touristy "Port Aransas" vacation, Palacios isn't for you. If you are truly looking for peace and quiet in a quaint home and town that is fisherman friendly, this home and Palacios is where you need to be! We will come back and tell our friends!
