staff is chill, no crowds, closest affordable hostel to surfable beaches (30min walk)
quite loud due to planes and the big road. unfortunately, public transport is most of the time not worth it.

E perto da praia e tem todos os supermercados perto. Lavandaria, restaurantes. A localização e ótima.
This hostel is managed my world Packers volunteers. The worst nightmare that has existed in hostel world. This app only benefits the hostel, meanwhile the customers are the most affected.
There's no presence of managers or personal responsible for the hostel.
The fridge is always crowded with expired food. I've stayed there for more than a week and there's food in there from day one getting green and blue . Dishes with unfinished food that contaminates anything you put in there.
And the worst thing is: there's always a group of guys in the front door who keep the door open for other Brazilians to get in without being registered in the hostel. I have witnessed really risky situations when I have stayed in this place. I have written to the " manager" who never identifies him or herself but this person doesn't show a hint of worry About this situation. So... Stay at you own risk.

Cheap stay with breakfast
Bag storage under the bunk beds was big but incredibly dirty, it even had spider webs, almost seems like it has never been cleaned. No soap to wash our hands or towel to dry them in the female bathroom. Very little security, everyone could get inside our room as there wasn’t any sort of key. Trouble with getting our receipts.

The top Bunk bed. Better ask for a bottom bed.

-they serve me pork beside I noted that I need breakfast without pork
-they wrote that beach is 10 min from hostel,and it is 30 min by walk and 10 min by car
- my room was next to the road and it was noisy and also people doesn't respect house rules to be quite after certain hours - 11/12 am
- they have sign that there is prohibited smoking and one guy was smoking the weed and noone told him to not to do that

breakfast was poorly and the same everyday, no space in the fridge

It was ok. I used to go out in the morning and return back in the evening so it was ok.
People were a bit bored.

Comfy and clean,
Staff were fantastic and helpful.
Breakfast included was a bit of a joke, no kettle to boil water for a coffee, you needed to boil a saucepan of water if you wanted coffee, or pay 50c for an expresso pod,
It's the oy hostel I stayed in that only offered cereal as breakfast included. Note I am comparing hostels of similar price.
You must pay 2 euro tax which seems to be all accommodation in the porto area.
Quite a walk from the beach, but 205 bus takes you to 5 mins from the hostel.
No real facilities near the hostel. E.g. cafes, or bars or places to eat.

I've stayed in this hostel several times for short periods. The beds are clean and private.
The dining room is in the same space with a living room. I think another table would make it more comfortable for the breakfast and meal time. Space for tv and coach gathering there's enough in the hostel.

Excellent point of the city. Near the beach, Supermarket AND the metro línea and buses.
There's negative things but they obey to the bad education of some guests and not the hostel itself.
