Amazing heritage Hotel

The attached Restaurant was very average

We spent an amazing few days here. The Hotel had a great and rich breakfast, really comfortable and clean rooms, a cozy and relaxing wellness floor that feels private, as well as the highlight of being located directly in the center of Motovun's city square. The Hotel staff was kind and helpful, offering to drive us up to and from the Hotel, which would be difficult to climb with our luggage, given how steep the hill is. Since the Hotel isn't massive the wellness area is more private, so we enjoyed a good relaxing massage in a truly stress-free environment.

Slightly annoying was that the room's bathroom had a quite noisy and loud ventilation system, which you couldn't turn off if you wanted the main light to stay on. It's great that the ventilation is powerful, but you can't hear yourself think over the fan.

The location of the hotel was amazing. The breakfast buffet was very good . The pool was great , very clean and modern .

Although it was an old hotel , the rooms were very outdated , the room had an old smell perhaps from the old carpet , the air conditioner worked very poorly and the bathroom needed updating .

Wonderful hotel, in the center of the old town of Motovun. Particularly lovely are the number of different terraces and the garden.

Location

Front desk receptionist was not friendly. We were traveling for 7 hours and our ETA time was 9:40 pm, the reception desk apparently closes at 9:30 we had to beg them to stay open 10 minutes later. We turned out to be five minutes late because we rushed to get there. Not very welcoming. Also air conditioning was very poor and the rooms were sweltering. Once again the same front desk host was unfriendly did ask us about our stay and when I informed her of the inadequate air conditioning she did apologize or even act like she cared.

Clean, good breakfast, nice view, pool. Driver very nice.

Room cramped. Steep hills all around made it hard to walk around

Amazing property, top of the mountain. Stunning rooms, beautiful pool, great location. The city is amazing..great places to eat, nice staff and towns people.wonderful wine, so many truffles!!grsY courtyard cage. Also, a place to return to. Take the shuttle through the narrow gates and cobblestone streets to the kastel, like an amusement park ride, Wow!!!
